The village of Cheddar, in Somerset, gave the cheese its name centuries ago, and long before industrial production became common, farmhouse cheeses like this were being made on working farms across the West Country.

Montgomery's remains one of the last truly traditional examples still produced at this level, and to many in the cheese world, it's the benchmark against which all other cheddars are judged.

Handmade, clothbound, rich, nutty, buttery… and sliced fresh in store.

England's only raw milk Red Leicester in production - although this time we've reveived a pasteurised version.
