Produce department is finished.

It's really satisfying to tick a couple of boxes off the progress chart.

Now it is full steam ahead into the butchery department.

We expect the butchery to be back to normal on friday.
In the meantime ask our instore butchers for any assistance.

Refrigeration update #3

The new vegetable and half of the butchery chillers are running. The Waitaki team have filled them up ready for customers. We really appreciate all the nice comments from people about how good they look.

What's happening next?

MONDAY NIGHT
Overnight the old fruit chillers will be taken away. The new fruit chillers are behind and will be filled up ready for customers on Tuesday morning.

The last old butchery chillers will also be removed Monday night. Our full butchery range will still be available in the remaining chillers.

TUESDAY EVENING
New butchery chillers will be installed overnight.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY
Butchery area will be complete. We will be refilling the new chillers to trade as usual.

The produce section has been a bit of a treasure hunt over the last week, and we really appreciate the goodwill and patience from everyone as we transition over to our new refrigeration system.

Refrigeration update #2

The second stage of the produce upgrade will be happening tonight.

We have moved the produce display stands into the store entry/trolley bay area. This is to minimize congestion.
Trolleys will be stored outside for the next week.

Overnight the old vegetable chillers will be removed and replaced with new energy efficient produce chiller cabinets.

The new chillers will be turned on Tuesday next week. In the interim we have plug-in chillers to display fresh vegetables.

As usual feel free to ask our staff if you need help or have any questions.
