*******Slow Cooker Chicken & Great Northern Beans*******

A nourishing, small‑farm supper built on clean ingredients, slow heat, and the creamy texture of Great Northern beans.

Great Northern beans are naturally mild, creamy, and perfect for slow cooking. They absorb broth beautifully and release gentle starches that create a silky, comforting base — no thickeners needed. Bone‑in chicken thighs enrich the broth with collagen and deep flavor as they braise low and slow.

Instructions
1️⃣ Layer the beans — Add rinsed beans to the bottom of your slow cooker.
(No soaking needed when cooking LOW 8–10 hours.)
2️⃣ Add chicken — Place thighs on top of beans.
3️⃣ Pour broth + season — Add broth until covered; season with salt and pepper.
4️⃣ Slow cook — LOW 8–10 hours (recommended) or HIGH 4–5 hours.
5️⃣ Shred + return — Remove chicken, discard bones, shred, and stir back in.
6️⃣ Taste + serve — Adjust seasoning; add broth if needed.
Serve with cornbread, rice, or roasted veggies.
