Farmer Kev’s Organic was founded in 2009. We started with just one acre of vegetables in Winthrop, Maine. During the first year of peddling produce at th

e Winthrop Farmers’ Market we had established our mission: To grow Organic vegetables that are affordable for all Mainers! From then on we understood to keep our vegetables more affordable, we would have to scale up. After six years of continuous growth, we are now up to 20 acres of cultivated land. Until the fall of 2015 we did not have land of our own. This meant that we would lease land to grow our vegetables and transport the them to a central location. From there we would process and pack the CSA farm shares and deliver for the duration of the season. In 2015 we had the opportunity to purchase a farm of our own! We moved all operations to West Gardiner where we would be able to closely control our growing. We look to continually add acreage to our newly bought land to keep the price of our produce down and service more customers in Maine.

With our own farm property to invest in, we aim to become a year round operation with the addition of greenhousing. We hope that you have been one of our satisfied customers or will become one as we continue with our mission. To grow Affordable, Organic vegetables for Maine People.

Summary: Will be given delivery routes of towns in the greater Lewiston/Auburn, Portland, Gray/New Gloucester area. Work is assigned for Tuesday-Wednesday typical hours 7:00am-4pm. Routes are the same week to week. Hours are rough estimate of end time each day.

Drive a delivery van to 60 locations in a day. Need relatively clean license.
Be courteous and friendly to customers receiving delivery.
Be the face of our company and communicate accordingly between customer and company.

30-40 hour weeks
Positions Available: 1
Wage: $18.00/hr depending on experience, ability & skills.
Summary: Washing and packing produce on Mondays. Will be given delivery routes of towns in the greater Augusta, Lewiston/Auburn, Portland, Waterville, Gray/New Gloucester area. Work is assigned for Tuesday-Friday typical hours 7:00am-4pm. Routes are the same week to week. Hours are rough estimate of end time each day. Fridays assorted Farm work.

Drive a delivery van to 60 locations in a day. Need relatively clean license.
Be courteous and friendly to customers receiving delivery.
Be the face of our company and communicate accordingly between customer and company.
Will need to find addresses through the use of GPS and other tools.

Scope Of Responsibilities
Delivery drivers are the face of Farmer Kev’s, and are responsible for being the friendly face that customers see when they receive deliveries. Drivers must also take notes for route changes, make correct deliveries, and drive in an appropriate manner.

Typical Duties

A typical work day will include packing produce, preparing vehicles for delivery and then making the deliveries. Delivery of Farm Shares is done to 40-60 different locations in a day and vary from businesses to residential homes. Boxes must be stacked correctly, handled and packed appropriately to ensure boxes and produce is properly maintained throughout the route. Once returning to the farm the van must be cleaned out to be prepared for the next day.
