I always thought restaurant-style fajitas needed a screaming-hot skillet. It turns out the broiler does the same magic on one sheet pan. Skirt steak, three bell peppers, and an onion char in about 10 minutes, then the steak gets sliced thin across the grain. Wrap it all in warm tortillas and dinner is done. 🌮🌶️🔥

I used to think a shrimp boil needed a giant pot and a backyard. Then I roasted potatoes, corn, and smoked sausage on one sheet pan for 20 minutes. The shrimp go on for the last 8 minutes with garlic butter and Creole seasoning. One squeeze of lemon and it tastes straight out of Louisiana, with almost no cleanup. 🦐🌽🍋

I stopped paying coffee shop prices the day I realized how easy a real pumpkin spice latte is. Whisk real pumpkin, brown sugar, and pumpkin pie spice into hot milk, then froth it until foamy. Pour it over two shots of espresso and crown it with whipped cream. It tastes like fall in a mug for a fraction of the drive-thru price. 🎃☕🍂

It took me way too long to realize ground beef doesn't have to be browned. Iowa's loose meat sandwich simmers it in broth with onion until it breaks into tender little crumbles. Yellow mustard, Worcestershire, and a pinch of sugar make it savory and juicy. Pile it on a soft bun with pickles and keep a spoon nearby for the bits that fall out. 🍔🌽😋
