Let’s be clear, avocado is NOT bad.
In fact, it’s one of the best sources of healthy fats you can eat.
But here’s the truth nobody talks about: Even healthy foods are not “unlimited.”
We see it all the time in store, people doing everything “right”, but still struggling with high cholesterol, inflammation, or high blood pressure.
Why?
Because health is not just about “good vs bad foods.” It’s about balance, context, and your body.
Avocados are rich in healthy fats, yes. But they are still fats.
And when your diet is already high in fats or calories, adding more, even good ones, can work against you.
And let’s be clear, your body may tell you “stop eating fat for now, even good fat”
For some people:
• too much fat intake can contribute to weight gain
• metabolic stress
• and indirectly impact blood pressure and cholesterol levels
Especially if the rest of the lifestyle isn’t aligned.
So the goal is not elimination, it’s awareness and balance.
At our store, we’ve seen for years how small adjustments can make a big difference.
For example, our naturopath Andy (20+ years of real client experience) often recommends supporting the body with supplements like red yeast rice, which has been traditionally used to help maintain healthy cholesterol levels.
But supplements are not magic.
Real change starts with:
• what you eat
• how much you eat
• and how consistent you are
Bottom line:
Not everything “healthy” is right for you all the time.
Listen to your body.
Adjust.
Balance.
That’s real health.
