We don’t freeze our meat before it gets to you. Everything is cut fresh, packed cold, and delivered in chilled, insulated boxes so it arrives the way it should — fresh, not thawed.

Howdy from Mudgee.

The farm’s about as dry as I’ve seen it in a long while. The dams are drying out, as you can see in the photo I took today. We’re praying for rain — for us, and for every farmer doing it tough right now.

This weekend we’ll start hand-feeding our sheep and lambs, and it’s never a good sign when it comes to that. Spare a thought for our farmers — dry conditions are the last thing they need after months dealing with soaring fuel costs and pressure from every direction.

And then there’s the big supermarkets.

You’ve all seen the news — caught out peddling their “down down” rubbish to Aussie families while squeezing every cent out of the farmers who actually grow the food.

Smiling ads on the telly… knife in the back of the bloke in the paddock.

I’m filthy about it, and I reckon you should be too.

That’s why our team works damn hard on our weekly specials. They’re planned weeks ahead — not at the expense of our farmers or suppliers. We do it by carefully selecting surplus supply across our network and passing the savings on properly.
