It has been about two weeks since I've really had the chance to spend time in the pumpkin patch. Between the heat, the rain, my W-2 job, and a stubborn case of back spasms, life has definitely kept me on my toes.
Today, Remi and I finally made it back out for our "official inspection," and I couldn't stop smiling. 🎃🐾
The pumpkin plants are thriving, the vines are stretching, and the patch is covered in beautiful yellow blooms. Most of what we found were male flowers—which is exactly what we'd expect at this stage—but we were excited to spot a few tiny pumpkins already beginning to emerge!
There's still plenty of growing season ahead, but seeing the progress reminded me why all the hard work is worth it.
Fall may seem far away, but every pumpkin starts with a tiny seed, a flower, and a whole lot of patience. We can't wait to welcome you to OH My Gourd! this fall! 🍂🧡🎃

🎃 Pumpkin Fun Fact! 🎃
Did you know that every pumpkin starts as a flower?
Before there are pumpkins in the patch, there are bright yellow blooms. The first flowers to appear are usually male flowers. A little later, female flowers appear, and if a bee carries pollen from a male flower to a female flower, a pumpkin begins to grow! 🐝🌼
That's why pollinators are so important to pumpkin farmers. No bees, no pumpkins!
Now for the fun part...

The pumpkins are growing, and so are our plans for fall! 🎃
This October, we invite you to experience pumpkin picking the way it was meant to be—simple, authentic, and straight from the field where they grew.
At OH My Gourd!, you'll find rows of pumpkins, open skies, fresh air, and a genuine connection to the farm. No flashing lights. No amusement park attractions. Just the opportunity to slow down, walk the fields, and experience a working farm during one of its most beautiful seasons.
Farming isn't a staged experience. It's early mornings, long days, caring for crops through droughts and storms, and doing our best to stay one step ahead of the wildlife that thinks our pumpkins look delicious too!
Over the years, agritourism has grown into many different things. We're choosing to bring it back to its roots—connecting people with agriculture, the land, and the hard work that goes into growing food.
Come visit the patch this fall and experience a real pumpkin harvest. We can't wait to share it with you. 🍂🎃

Over the past few weeks, we've planted a LOT of seeds... and every single one by hand! Why? Because our planter decided this was the perfect time to break down, and we're still waiting on parts. 😅
Last year, we planted 8,000 pumpkin seeds.
This year, we went bigger.

Last year, we welcomed so many families to our farm for our very first pumpkin patch season. We learned a lot, made wonderful memories, and started dreaming even bigger.

Last year, when Washington County approached us about creating a Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch, I was truly a deer in headlights! 🎃😳
We jumped in with both feet, opened our farm to the community, welcomed so many wonderful families, and learned countless lessons along the way. Watching children pick their perfect pumpkin, seeing families make memories together, and hearing your kind words made every challenge worth it.
This year is a completely different story. We’ve had an entire year to dream, plan, prepare, and grow. What started as a new adventure has become something we're incredibly excited about, and we have some fun things in store for this fall!
We can't wait to share what's ahead for Oh My Gourd! and welcome both familiar and new faces back to the farm.

Welcome to Oh My Gourd! 🎃
We're excited to officially introduce Oh My Gourd, the Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch at WTF Orchards!
This page will be your home for everything pumpkin season—from behind-the-scenes planting updates and growing progress to sneak peeks of this year's patch, fall inspiration, and plenty of pumpkin-filled fun.
Our 2026 Fall Season details, ticket information, and special events will be announced in August, so be sure to follow along and invite your friends to join us on this journey.
In the meantime, we'll be sharing photos from last year's patch, this year's planting adventures, and all the cozy fall vibes that make autumn our favorite season.
