Hello friends for those of you that hadn’t seen this picture , we would like to share a throwback of Mrs. Ginger Grove and Paul “Garney” Grove . It’s from the 60’s ! Times have changed so much . We miss Mrs. Ginger and everyone else so much that has left this life .

Friends , with a heavy heart we want to let you all know that Mrs. Ginger Grove has passed away . She loved all of her customers very much . She began working at the fruit stand when she was nine years old . She had the opportunity to take a really good job in Washington D.C. at one point in her life , but she chose to continue to help her dad and later on her brother David at the fruit stand . She was faithful for the whole 64 years we were in business. She was dependable and willing to work 14-16 hour days at times when needed. The fruit stand was her life and she loved coming to work everyday. She put her soul into this tiny family business and it showed in her willingness to sacrifice her time whenever possible. Words can’t express the grief we are feeling . Please keep her husband and family in your thoughts and prayers. She suffered in this life a long time and was tired . We know she’s resting with Jesus now .😢❤️

Good morning everyone! It’s a beautiful spring day the Lord has blessed us with! We want to do an appreciation post and mention a few people that have helped us out down through the years . First we want to thank Mr. Brown and his son for always taking care of the over ripe produce for us. They have been faithful friends since Mr . Harold Wilt was alive. We appreciate everything you’ve done for us down through the years . They are wonderful people and we just want to let you know we are grateful for the many years you helped us. I pray you see this post . Somewhere in this life change we lost your telephone number . Please forgive us.❤️ We also want to Thank Mr. Dave Leonard and Ms. Trish Sanderson for helping us when we were forced to move our business. They went above and beyond to help us and we appreciate you both very much. Your kindness hasn’t went unnoticed! Thank you Hazel for making sure Trish received all our paper work! Thank You Trish for working on all of it! We know it was a lot ! We also want to thank Mike and everyone in the office who have been so willing to help us. We are blessed to have you all in our lives ! Thanks to all our wonderful customers down through the years as well. God has richly blessed us more than we deserve and we are most grateful to Him for all the wonderful people He has brought into our lives! Pray you all have a wonderful day!

Good evening friends . Praying you all are well . This is going to be a lengthy post but one that is necessary, one that isn’t easy , and one we’ve tried to put off as long as possible . Now we feel it’s the right time . We are regretful to inform you that we will not be returning for the 2024 season . Trust us when we say , it’s not been easy to come to this conclusion . We will deeply miss you all . We have made so many friends along this journey. We are so thankful that you were a part of it . Mr. Harold Wilt established Wilt’s Fruit Stand in 1959 . Some of you have been with us since the very beginning . We made it 64 seasons by God’s Grace and mercy! At some point in this journey everyone from our family has helped us . We love you , and are grateful to God for you . Thank you to all those who have been there for us throughout the many years we’ve been in business. We appreciate all the help from everyone . Many of you have become more like family than customers. We’ve laughed together, cried together, we’ve suffered loss together and made it through some of the most trying times together . We couldn’t have made it without your support . We’ve always tried to bring you quality produce at a reasonable price . Believe us when we say , we didn’t get rich doing this but God supplied all our needs . We enjoyed the work , though hard at times . We loved the people , and we put our heart and soul into this small business but it’s time to close this chapter in our lives . If you see us around please say hello , please stop and talk with us as so many of you have at the Fruit Stand in the past . We will keep our page up . we know that many people don’t have facebook so please let your family and friends know and please do share this post as much as possible . Good morning everyone! We are officially closed for the 2023 season. Thank the Lord for bringing us through another year! Thank you all for supporting us. In a world where it’s becoming increasingly hard for small businesses to compete with the bigger box stores, we rely on wonderful people like you to support us. Thank you so very much for the kindness, love, laughter , and the friendships we’ve built along this journey . We will update our page regularly for a return date. Most likely will be close to May . Good afternoon friends! This season is wrapping up quickly! If you haven’t made it down yet , there’s not much time! We only have a few Fuji , stayman, and York apples left ! We may not make it completely through Saturday ! We have oranges on sale 2 for 1.00 ! Onions and potatoes are now .99 per pound! We still have a few tomatoes also! Today is Friday November the 24th , hurry on down to stock up ! We are closing very soon for the season!

Friends we have a FEW bags of No.1 new chef potatoes! Grade A all purpose ! We only have a few bags . So if you need some fresh potatoes for Thanksgiving ya better hurry on down! 30$ for a 50 pound bag . That equals about .60 per pound ! What a deal!

Good morning friends ! This will be our last week open for the season, weather permitting. We will be open from 7 am until 5 pm each day. We still have some tasty tomatoes , York , red delicious , and Fuji apples. We do apologize that we don’t have some of the end of season favorites that we normally carry. The road closure , though necessary, has impacted us this season. Most of you know that normally we are open several more weeks . We just can’t make it happen this year friends! We appreciate all of you that have supported us and we Are grateful to God for you all! Come on down and get your Thanksgiving pie apples ! We are looking forward to to seeing you all before we close for the season!
