Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting, trimming, and preparing meats to high-quality standards while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Customer service skills and attention to detail are essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

-Cut, trim, debone, and prepare various meats (beef, pork, poultry, etc.)
-Ensure proper portioning and presentation of meat products
-Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
-Operate and maintain butcher equipment safely (saws, grinders, knives)
-Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
-Properly store meats to ensure freshness and minimize waste

Qualifications

-Previous experience as a butcher or meat cutter preferred
-Knowledge of different cuts of meat and preparation techniques
-Ability to use hand tools and power equipment safely
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
-Good communication and customer service skills
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Our farming community has suffered an unimaginable loss. Jake and Amber Cooper, our friends and a local farm family, unfortunately lost their oldest son in a tragic farm accident. Please keep them in your prayers and if you can help in any way it would be appreciated.

It is with such a heavy heart that we have to post this…

The Cooper family is facing the unthinkable after a serious farm accident involving their son Jason while he was simply doing chores and feeding cattle—something so many of us know all too well.

Jake and Amber are the kind of people who are always there for others. Jake, our president, has poured countless hours into supporting youth agriculture programs—mentoring kids, helping with 4-H projects, organizing events, and making sure the next generation has every opportunity to succeed. Alongside Amber, their leadership in the Kendall Grundy Beef Association has made a lasting impact on so many families.

Now it’s our turn to show up for them.
