Nothing makes the girls happier than seeing a fresh bunk full of green grass 🌱🐄

Tonight’s treat was fresh cut tall grass from untreated lawns — no herbicides, no pesticides, just clean green feed headed back to the cows instead of the landfill. The Jerseys were pretty excited about it 😄

Fresh green forage can help provide:
• natural vitamins and nutrients
• extra moisture and hydration
• healthy fiber for rumen function
• richer cream and butterfat in the milk
• a nice change from dry feed

We love being able to recycle something that would normally get bagged up and thrown away, while turning it into quality nutrition for the cows instead. Less waste, happy cows, and good milk — hard to beat that. 🌎🥛

The sound of cows munching fresh grass in the barn might be one of the best sounds on the farm.
