The Grettir toast name comes from Grettisaga - the Saga of Grettir. Iceland is known for their many famous sagas.
The Grettir toast is sourdough toast with a smear of skyr (they rhyme!) pesto, tomatoes, olive oil and salt and pep.
At So+Lo's many of our menu items names are inspired by popular Icelandic people, places and things!
