We are a 6 generation family farm that produces pasture raised Certified Naturally Grown chicken, turkey & eggs, homegrown vegetables & berries, Shiitake mushrooms, & our "Almost Famous" giant cookies & other baked goods.

Fresh pasture day is apparently a pretty big deal around here. 🦃🌱

Turn the sound on and listen to the turkey committee discuss their excitement. Fresh grass, certified organic feed, sunshine, and plenty of room to roam.

I’d say they approve of the move.

Happy First Friday, friends! Around here, we know First Friday isn’t just another Sedalia Area Farmers' Market day. 😉 🍅🫑🌶️🍆🥒🥯🍪🍞

The pavilion will be packed this afternoon with farmers, bakers, growers, artisans, and makers. Fresh produce, homemade baked goods, local meats, handmade goods, and plenty of friendly faces—it’s one of our favorite markets of the month and a great way to spend a Friday afternoon.

We’ll be there from 3-6 PM with:

🍪 Cookies: Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Caramel Pecan, Almond Joy, White Chip Macadamia, White Chip Cranberry Macadamia, Peanut Butter, Monster, Oatmeal Raisin, Sugar, Snickerdoodle, Confetti Cake Batter & Lemon Blueberry, Molasses

🥯 Bagels: Plain, Everything, Asiago, Garlic Parmesan, Two Cheese, Jalapeño Cheddar, Blueberry, Cranberry Orange, Cinnamon & Cinnamon Raisin.

🥖 Artisan Breads: Jalapeño Cheddar & Italian Herbs and Cheese.

🍞 Loaf Breads: White, Honey Oat & Honey Whole Wheat.

🍌 Sweet Breads: Banana, Double Chocolate Banana, Lemon Blueberry & Cinnamon Swirl.

🍭 Sweet Rolls: Banana Bread, Cherry Crisp, Peach Cobbler, Strawberry Streusel, Confetti Cake & S’mores.

🎂 Gluten-Free Cakes: Chocolate & Confetti.

🍅 Fresh-picked tomatoes are finally coming in! We’ll also have Fairy Tale eggplant, cucumbers, zucchini, cabbage, bell peppers, jalapeños, and poblano peppers.

🐔 Pastured eggs and pasture-raised chicken.

We’re still in the kitchen baking this morning, so there’s a good chance a few extras will find their way onto the table before market starts. That’s usually how these things go around here.

Now's the time to reserve your favorites for Friday pickup. Preorders are open for bagels, cookies, breads, sweet rolls, pastured eggs, and pasture-raised chicken.

A little schedule update from Back Yonder Farms…

We won’t be at Sedalia Area Farmers' Market tomorrow (Tuesday).

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of baking, markets, and orders, and a few farm and home projects have been getting pushed farther down the list. We’re taking a couple of days to catch up before jumping back into the kitchen.

We’ll be back at the market on Friday, and orders are now open for Friday pickup.

Thanks for keeping us busy—we appreciate every one of you!

Good morning from Radar and the rest of the BYF crew. . He’s retired from showing, bored out of his mind, and apparently now works full-time in security testing and escape room design.

RiOak May Market is open, and we’re ready for another fun day in beautiful downtown Cole Camp.

We baked extra for yesterday’s Sedalia Area Farmers' Market & today’s event at RiOak Western Design. The girls loaded up for market, our customers showed up in a big way, and all we could say was, “Wow.”

So it was back to the kitchen last night and early this morning to do it all again.

Today you’ll find bagels, cookies, Italian Herbs & Cheese bread, Jalapeño Cheddar bread, gluten-free cakes, and sweet roll bites at our booth.

We’re here until 3:00. Stop by, say hello, and see what all the baking was about.

We’ve been busy in the kitchen and the garden getting ready for Sedalia Area Farmers' Market on Friday.

We’ll have fresh-picked, pesticide free cucumbers, cabbage, broccoli, and zucchini, along with pastured eggs and our pastured chicken (raised on pasture, fed certified organic feed, and always medication free).
