It’s market day! Let’s work together to make our market thrive!

We are thrilled to welcome so many new faces to our neighborhood market and deeply grateful for our loyal regulars. Thanks to recent feedback in a vendor survey, we have an exciting goal: to double or even triple our attendance to bring you even more of what you love.

Achieving this starts with you. Please consider visiting us this afternoon and every week, and purchasing from even just one of your favorite vendors. These small, consistent contributions create a massive impact on our collective growth. Bring a friend, enjoy the fresh offerings, and help us build an even more thriving market together!

We’ll see you today 4-7pm in the southeast corner of the Madison Rd. parking lot., in the heart of East Walnut Hills, Cincinnati!

If you have a monthly permit for the Madison lot, please make sure that your car is not in the southeast corner 1-8pm on Fridays. You may park on the west side of the lot.

It’s only Wednesday, but our minds are already on Friday afternoon and our weekly farmers’ market!

This week, we’re excited to welcome Ekaterina Shestakova and her cottage bakery, Bread by Kat, featuring freshly baked, organic sourdough bread and assorted sourdough-baked goods including bagels, cookies and cinnamon rolls, all made in the quiet community of Sherwood Forest in Anderson Township.

A customer recently remarked, “Let me just say, I’ve bought several different sourdough loaves from a few different bakers and none of them compare to Kat’s! Kat’s bread really is the perfect sourdough! It has the smell with that tangy punch that we all love and enjoy.”

If that makes your taste buds tingle, plan to stop by our market 4-7pm on Friday in the southeast corner of the Madison Rd. parking lot. See you there!

Our market is proud of its variety. Every Friday, you can shop for the freshest local produce, artisan-crafted goods, natural personal care products, and specialty food, right in our neighborhood!

Kei Iguchi has introduced East Walnut Hills to omusubi, a traditional Japanese snack or appetizer made of cooked white rice shaped into a triangle, wrapped in crispy nori (seaweed) and filled with savory ingredients that are organic and non-GMO whenever possible.

Omusubi by market vendor OMUSUBI is more than a rice ball. It’s a symbol of love, comfort and connection. For centuries, it has been a part of everyday life in Japan, carrying the warmth of the person who made it. According to Kei, it’s “designed to be held, made to be loved.”

Have you tried omusubi yet? We’d love to know your thoughts! If you haven’t yet tried this, what are you waiting for? Plan to stop by the southeast corner of the Madison Rd. parking lot 4-7pm on Friday for omusubi and other goods you can’t get anywhere else!

Pro tip: purchase a delicious lemonade from market vendor Queen City Lemonade,LLC and add a shot of vodka from our own volunteer! When you think of jelly, you probably think of a PB&J sandwich but, for Natalie Levenson, the owner of Always Canning, they are another ingredient in the kitchen to flavor up the next dish. We’re so excited to have a market stall full of these artisanal jellies at our market, starting this Friday!

Jellies by Always Canning include traditional fruit flavors like Black Currant, Raspberry and Strawberry Rhubarb, and also spicy varieties like Ghost Pepper, Habanero and Jalapeño Pepper, as well as more unusual concoctions like Pineapple Mango Reaper and Lemon Rosemary.

Here’s what a customer recently had to say, “I’m a frequent farmers market customer who loves finding authentic unique items. Always Canning hits the spot. Best jams and jelly I’ve ever had. Whether looking for that little kick of spice to add to salsa or cooking Thai or sweet delicious jam with toast and butter Always Canning is delicious.”

Our market season begins this Friday. You’ll find our weekly farmers’ market 4-7pm in the southeast corner of the Madison Rd. parking lot.
