🌸Offerings - Cookie Dough Ice Cream, Fresh Salsa, Spicy Honey Bunny Hot Sauce🌵
I’m bringing Cookie Dough Ice Cream back to the farmstand! I don’t like cookie dough but I know most people can’t get enough of it. It’s funny how we are all so different, I also don’t care for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, yet it is our #1 selling cookie. Since it has been heating up I have stopped offering my fresh Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies because of melting, but if you are still craving them,0 look into the farmstand freezers! We now have Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream and Frozen-Ready To Bake Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough available in the farmstand egg fridge freezers!
I am also excited to have my fresh Salsa along with Hummus and Magical Pecan Butter available in our farmstand egg fridge. We have previously only been canning our salsa but I think fresh is the best! I have been making this Salsa recipe for over 20 years and it’s my own special recipe and it’s the base for my Happy Dragon Hot Sauce and Enchilada Sauce. I would describe it as a flavor bomb. It is amazing fresh on everything from eggs to tacos. One of my favorite things to do is what I call “Dirty Eggs.” I throw it in a pan in the morning and cook it down for a few minutes before adding in sausage and eggs. I’ll put it on rice or tortillas and it is so so good. I think I’ll make some now! I also hear there is a salsa contest at the Cornfest here in Camp Verde this July. I have never done a food competition before and it sounds fun! For those who have had my salsa, what do you think? I know my Salsa is pretty mild and wonder if I have to bring more heat for the contest?!
Last thing, I finally made a batch of my carrot based hot sauce. I now make it with a touch of AZ Honey hence why I call it Spicy Honey Bunny Hot Sauce. This is a great contrast to my Happy Dragon Hot Sauce which is more of a Chipotle/Enchilada style hot sauce. It’s actually my original hot sauce recipe. If you are not wanting your food to taste like Mexican Food but still want to add the heat, this is the stuff! I think it pairs well with quiche, topping a biscuit loaded with roast chicken and honey, on avocado toast, etc. Think of it as a brunch essential. It is also the most beautiful color, see pic below!
