With a farm as diverse as ours, new challenges arise each day. With ingenuity AND community support we continue to grow and improve how we raise our animals. We’re grateful to for creating a grant opportunity that leverages community to realize improvements sooner!

The Friend of a Farmer Choice Awards is a chance for us to win a $1,000 grant!

These funds would help us replace all the rotted posts and old fence insulators in a 25 acre fenced pasture. These improvements would save us a TON of time (as we put up / take down portable electric fencing inside the permanent fence) AND provide so much piece of mind - the fences will be hot, keeping sheep in and predators out! ��

Fresh Chicken Fridays are back this at Brunswick Farmers Market. Find us with fresh chicken each week now through the end of August!

Our chicken is raised on pasture and fed organic grain. Moved daily to fresh grass, it's rich in flavor and texture. We'd love for it to be part of your Memorial Day celebration!

Purchasing our chicken also supports the fantastic crew at Weston's Meat's and Poultry We're fortunate to have them so close by and their air-chilling makes our chicken even better!

This hearty recipe is a great way to celebrate the return of Spring!

It combines favorites like asparagus and fiddleheads with spring greens, mushrooms, bread and sausage for a one-pot wonder that's delicious for breakfast or dinner!

Order online by Thursday at 9 AM and pick-up the key ingredients - eggs & rosemary sausage on Friday at Brunswick Farmers Market where you can find all the rest of what you need!

Spring is when I open our chest freezer and wonder at what I find. There's berries from last summer, roasted peppers from Whatley Farm, chickens made unsaleable by blown seals and then, there's the bread! This week on the farm-
The "chocolate" goat kid was a favorite at our Kid Hugging Day on Sunday. It was a blast and were as tired as the goat kids at the end of the day! This event is so fun because we get to share so much with visitors and this year we even had just born baby goats! Lolli, who was the most visibly pregnant doe in the barn finally kidded on Sunday morning at 8:45 AM. Fortunately all 3 of her kids came swiftly and by 9:05 AM I was back to preparing for our event!

The pullets are cranking out the eggs. We went from 14, to 25, to 48 eggs over the last couple of days. We'll donate the early eggs and make most of them into delicious lemon curd with the help of Mid-Coast Hunger Prevention Program's commercial kitchen, but if you'd like a dozen of these mini marvels let us know!

The dogs enjoyed a well-deserved day off yesterday. They mostly laid in the grass and slept (exactly what WE wanted to do too). They've been out in the field day and night for the last 3 weeks as we've had a fox and a hawk that have been keen to pluck their own chickens!

It's been quite a week! Photos clockwise - We've more than tripled our number of goat kids in just 7 days.
Our first milk chocolate goat arrived yesterday. We've never had this color show up in the 16 years we've been raising cashmere goats so it is very cool! We had a VIP visitor along with her grandchildren come to the farm on Sunday to snuggle the goats.
Valentina (Valley) and Monty are out in the field day and night keeping our broiler chickens and laying hens safe from the fox and hawk who each took a hen last week. We also had a loss with silver lining. One of our first-time does had a very difficult delivery and needed extensive assistance. Despite our best efforts we lost her and one of her kids. This leaves us with a very sweet orphan goat kid, shown here getting to know Rizzo.

Our cashmere goat kids are the softest, sweetest babies and they love to snuggle.

Sunday, May 10th is our Kid Hugging Day. A great time to visit the farm, meet our kids, and to ask us all about goats!

All attendees will have the opportunity to hold a goat baby.

Tickets include 45 minutes at the farm. Choose from one of 4 time slots available and select type and number of tickets desired. Please select a ticket for every member of your group so that we can maintain the perfect goat to visitor ratio.
