Sure, the market is a place to shop.
But it’s also so much more than that.
It’s where artists, makers, bakers, growers, musicians, and dreamers come together every Saturday to create something special. It’s where friendships are formed, stories are shared, and local businesses are supported.
One booth holds a handcrafted gift. Another holds the perfect snack. Around the corner, you’ll find live music, smiling faces, and something you didn’t even know you needed.
The Capital City Public Market isn’t just a market. It’s a community. It’s a family. It’s a Saturday morning tradition. It’s a place where local thrives.
Most of all, it’s a vibe.
Come spend the morning with us, discover amazing local products, meet the people behind them, and see why so many people call the market their favorite part of the weekend.

Vendor Highlight: Sir Ranos Salsa
This week we are excited to shine the spotlight on Sir Ranos Salsa and owner Aaron, one of our longtime market vendors whose incredible salsa has become a customer favorite.
Aaron’s journey to creating some of Boise’s most delicious salsa is anything but ordinary. A veteran, engineer, and self-taught cook, he has always been driven by a passion for food and a desire to create something special. What started as a love of experimenting in the kitchen eventually grew into Sir Ranos Salsa, a business dedicated to producing fresh, high-quality salsa made with simple, natural ingredients.
Made locally in Boise, Sir Ranos Salsa is crafted using fresh ingredients and serrano peppers to create bold flavors that keep customers coming back for more. Aaron takes great pride in every batch he produces, focusing on quality, flavor, and consistency in every jar.
Beyond the amazing salsa, Aaron is simply a great person to visit with. He has been part of the Capital City Public Market family for many years, and we are grateful for the passion and dedication he brings to our community. His booth is always a popular stop, and for good reason.
If you haven’t had the chance to try Sir Ranos Salsa, make sure to stop by and sample a few flavors this Saturday. Fair warning though, once you taste it, you’ll probably be leaving with a jar or two. We certainly do!
Thank you, Aaron, for your service, your support of local business, and for sharing your delicious creations with our market community. www.sirranossalsa.com

Vendor Highlight: The Grey Fox Studio
This week we’re excited to spotlight The Grey Fox Studio and the incredible work of artist Katherine Grey.
A native Idaho printmaker based in Boise, Katherine creates stunning hand-carved, hand-colored linocut prints inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of the American West and Northwest. She draws much of her inspiration from traveling, hiking, and spending time in nature, which is beautifully reflected in every piece she creates.
Every work begins with careful observation and sketching before being transformed into a beautifully detailed block print. From carving intricate designs that can take months to complete to printing on handmade papers and adding watercolor details by hand, each piece is truly one of a kind.
Katherine’s work is a unique blend of traditional printmaking, watercolor, and fiber arts. The textures, colors, and craftsmanship found in every piece reflect her deep appreciation for the natural world and her dedication to her craft.
Not only is Katherine an incredibly talented artist, but she has also been a cherished member of our market family for many years and serves on our Membership Committee. Her creativity, generosity, and commitment to supporting fellow artists help make our market the special community it is today.
We are so grateful to have Katherine as part of our market community. Be sure to stop by The Grey Fox Studio this Saturday and see her beautiful artwork in person. Her work captures the beauty of the West in a way that is truly unforgettable.
