Albert Lea Farmers Market Albert Lea Farmer's Market are local vendors who bring the country to you! Although each vendor is a small business, as a group we are a nonprofit organization.

We are group of small businesses from the Albert Lea, Freeborn County and surrounding areas that provide great local foods and hand made items to consumers. We are in downtown Albert Lea, MN on Wednesdays and Saturdays from mid May to the end of October. We are a grower and producer market: everything at our market was grown or made by the vendors.

Meet our local vendor, Caleb Smith 🍯🐝

Caleb is the heart behind The Honey Smith, bringing locally harvested, raw honey straight from the hive to your table. With a deep-rooted family connection to beekeeping, spanning both his father and grandfathers, his passion for bees runs generations deep.

Today, Caleb manages 32 hives across 10 locations throughout southern Minnesota and northern Iowa, raising four different breeds of bees. What makes his honey truly special? Each location produces its own unique flavor, shaped by the flowers and plants the bees visit, meaning every jar tells a different story of the land and season.

This year, you can expect 10–20 distinct honey varieties throughout the summer and fall, available in ½ pint, pint, and quart jars. And keep an eye out, Caleb plans to expand his offerings with honey sticks and fresh honeycomb soon!

Jess is a plant lover with deep roots, literally! She works at Hill’s Gardens in Albert Lea, her family’s nursery, where years of hands-on experience sparked a passion she just had to share. From beautiful succulent arrangements to thriving houseplants, Jess brings both skill and heart to everything she grows.

She’s also the founder of Follow Your Roots, a small-batch herbal preparation business inspired by the idea that plants were our original healers. Her mission is simple: help people reconnect with the time-honored wisdom of botanical wellness.
