Angus Rib Roast beautifully marbled by country living off the green pastures of NZ and rolled expertly by Reece, available till they are not. Plus fresh batches of chicken stock, beef stock & four new sausage flavours. Wednesdays chocka.

Sweet mini chook roasts - hand-rolled with spinach, feta, mushroom & a lil sun-dried tomato. 25 minutes in the oven, for something delicious tonight. Available until they are not. At the butchery.

We are open now till 4pm today, closed Monday & closed Sunday & Monday next week as our dear Reece is competing in the butchery comps. We are excited for him- he’s such a legend - starting his butchery career at 11 years of age in Martinborough and was cutting by 13. (And that wasn’t even his first job!). He’s that incredible hard-worker that kiwis were known as. Humble, fair, sincere - the kind that makes you happy to be an employer. We are grateful he responded to our desperate plea to find a butcher for the island & excited to support him in this competition. He got into the finals for NZ butchery apprentice of the year when he was a shy 15 year old - but had to pull out due to appendicitis. You can’t be an apprentice twice but he could be our Young Butcher of the year….

This man is magic. Thank you for creating this strange new world : our butchery. A customer came in today, saying they were with Wade on the ferry and he had a’new idea’. Reece and I are half anticipation, half trepidation - Wade’s mad scientist + genius. What joy is this life.
