Some dishes are reasons to leave the house on a cold winter evening.

Tonight’s special at Cappadocia is our *Anatolian Lamb Bowl* — tender lamb slow-cooked with pumpkin, carrots, mushrooms, and dates, served on a bed of chickpea rice with a fresh sumac onion salad.

A little sweet, a little tangy, wonderfully comforting, and packed with the flavours of Anatolia.

Available from 4pm onwards for tonight’s dinner service.

A little bowl of sweetness to share and remember.

Today I’m remembering my late husband, Andrew. In my culture, we like to mark this day by making something to share — a way to honour our loved ones and spread a bit of kindness in their memory.

I’ve made a traditional sweet called Aşure (or Noah’s Pudding) — it’s full of grains, fruits, and nuts, and meant to celebrate abundance, gratitude, and togetherness. It is comforting and full of heart.

If you’d like to share in this remembrance, please come by and have a bowl. ❤️
