Good Afternoon Napier!
What an announcement we have today. We have had the absolute honor of being recognized as a "Proud Volunteer Employer" by Fire and Emergency New Zealand.
One of our Knife Hands, Shaye has been working with Mad Butcher for coming up FOUR years! November 5th, 2025 he decided to join the Napier Fire Brigade as an Operational Support Firefighter. Throughout this time Shaye has had many opportunities presented to him through FENZ and we have had the delight of enabling him and supporting him through all of these amazing opportunities that FENZ, and Napier Fire Brigade has offered him.
We are incredibly thankful for all of the work that not just Volunteers do, but also Career Emergency Services Members do as well, and we fully support them in every way possible.
Once again, a big well done to Shaye and all other volunteers, your work is appreciated by us here at Mad Butcher Napier, and also the community.
