A talk by Bruce Mackinnon Hill Croft Mushrooms on all things fungi - an evolutionary overview and symbiotic relationships with flora and fauna, our relationships to fungi and their relevance to recycling of nutrients and how it works with the microbiome, and recent research about the health benefits of fungi when supplemented or eaten.

Te wiki o te reo Māori is a celebration of Māori language, but for some whānau it is a sharp reminder of the loss and alienation they have felt for generations and, for many, continue to experience today.

Language learning blocks accompanied by fear to use te reo Māori in public settings is a lived experience for many people, particularly our older generations who were not encouraged to speak or learn te reo. Thankfully the language revitalisation efforts of that same generation mean that fewer and fewer of whanau will have this experience, and that is certainly something we are grateful for.

Using te reo Māori will always be welcomed and celebrated at Hapī, no matter where we are at in our learning journey. Mauri ora!
