June plant sale! 🌸 🌼 🌱🐝 🦋 🐛

Saturday 20 June, 9am to 1pm, Piazza Terracina, Exeter quayside

Hope you can swing by for a chat, a peruse, maybe a purchase (or several!) and enjoy local treats and good vibes on the quayside, with Sustainable Seas Festival from 11am. ⚓ 👌

Lots of native and wildlife-friendly plants are ready, grown by me, peat free, pesticide free, sold plastic free... YIPPEE ! ✨💚

Perennials ans biennials for borders, containers, mini meadows, wild patches...for butterflies and moths, their caterpillars, wild bees, and birds too of course (natural seed!).

Inc. small and field scabious, kidney vetch, wild carrot, chicory, birdsfoot trefoil 🌟, meadow cranesbill, honeysuckle climbers, white and red campions, red valerian, red and white clovers, self-heal, musk mallow, yarrow, lamb's ear, rosemary, sweet woodruff... you get the drift. 🙂 🐛

Here's to a brilliant day, just round the corner from my wild garden where so many of the plants first sprang to life. 🧑‍🌾 ✨

Painted Lady butterfly visiting an ox-eye daisy? Yep, your eyes are not deceiving you!

Thank you to my friend for sharing this pic taken in Carmarthenshire, Wales, of an ox-eye that originated from my little nursery and has been living a happy life in a container.

I had never associated ox-eye or 'moon' daisies with being nectar plants for butterflies, but guess its super accessible flower-shape helps.

Nature is full of surprises!

While I can't guarantee Painted Lady butterflies, I will have ox-eye daisies available at my next Exeter plant stall 👉 20 June at Exeter Quayside Farmers' Market 🌼 🌼 🌼
