⚠️ A little scam warning from the Badsey Butchers team ⚠️

This morning we received a few text messages from someone we initially thought was a genuine customer. They were doing a pretty convincing job too... until they slipped up and mentioned being served by a "lady" in the shop.

Now, anyone who regularly visits Badsey Butchers will know there's only one lady on the team – Hannah – and she stays firmly behind the scenes. Serving customers isn't her domain (her words, not ours! 😂).

That's when we realised this wasn't a customer at all, but someone trying their luck. Thankfully, they picked the wrong butcher's shop and gave the game away before anything came of it.

We thought we'd share this as a reminder that scammers are getting smarter and more convincing every day. Please keep an eye out for family members, friends, neighbours, and anyone who might be a bit more vulnerable to these sorts of things.

We've included the number they contacted us from so people can keep it in mind. With any luck, nobody else will hear from this particular sausage... but if you do, you'll know exactly what they're up to. 🌭😉
