A RARE INVITATION INTO JAPAN’S AWARD-WINNING WAGYU HERITAGE 🇯🇵
Today, Zen, Katie and Saxon had the incredible privilege of visiting Kobe Takami Beef outside Osaka — an experience very few people ever get.
We were invited behind the scenes at one of Japan’s most esteemed Wagyu farms, a facility ordinarily closed to the public, to learn firsthand about the breeding, feeding and extraordinary care that goes into producing some of Japan’s finest beef.
Kobe Takami Beef is Prime Minister’s Award-winning Wagyu, raised in the pristine Tamba region of Hyogo. The cattle are carefully raised for almost three years, with an incredible level of attention given to their environment, lineage, feed and wellbeing.
And of course… we got to taste it 🤤
For us, this wasn’t just about eating exceptional Wagyu. After 20 years of owning our Butchers and 30 years in the indistry, we’re still passionate about learning, improving and understanding beef at the highest level.
To be welcomed into their farm, speak with the people behind it and see their methods firsthand was something very special.
We’ll be bringing that knowledge and inspiration home to Australia and back to Yeppoon Central Meats — because no matter how long you’ve been in this industry, there is always more to learn.
A truly rare and privileged experience that gave us an even greater appreciation for true Japanese Wagyu — its heritage, its artistry and the extraordinary care behind every piece.
Definitely one for the YCM memory book. Thank you for being our amazing host with exceptional knowledge.
