Attending community events year after year gives you a real appreciation for the dedication and effort behind them. Friday evening's 18th Annual New Life Trust was no exception.
We had the privilege of attending the event and, if we do say so ourselves, scrubbed up pretty well! This was our third year attending, and once again we were inspired by the passion, commitment and hard work of everyone involved.
A special congratulations to Joshua Hemelaar and the entire team for delivering another outstanding evening. Together, supporters raised more than $130,000, representing approximately one-third of the organisation's annual funding requirements.
The remaining funds are generated through sponsorships and the Op Shop operated by Redlands Christian Church in Ormiston, demonstrating the incredible support of the local community.
For those unfamiliar with their work, New Life Trust Australia is a group of ordinary Australians committed to making an extraordinary difference in the lives of orphaned and abandoned children in Myanmar (Burma). Importantly, 100% of funds raised go directly to the New Life Centre in Yangon, helping provide care, support and opportunities for vulnerable children.
We encourage you to visit the New Life Trust Australia page to learn more about their mission and the impact they continue to make.
And finally, if you're ever looking for an auctioneer who can energise a room and inspire generous bidding, we highly recommend Darren Cole Team - Ray White One Group. It was fantastic to see Darren in action on the night!
