Who else reckons a good tomato sandwich is hard to beat? 🍅

Try thick slices of gourmet tomato on fresh bread, with a little salt, cracked pepper and your choice of butter or mayo. Nothing fancy, just a lunch worth sitting down for.

A handy tip for your next shop: let whole tomatoes finish ripening at room temperature, then pop them in the fridge once ripe to help them keep.

Now, the important question… are you team butter or team mayo?

Spring cooking doesn’t need to be complicated, especially when Aussie asparagus is in season. 💚

Try it in a hot pan with a little olive oil, then finish with lemon and cracked pepper. Serve alongside your eggs, toss through a bowl of pasta or make room for a few spears on the BBQ.

Sometimes the simplest way really is the tastiest. Pick up a bunch or two on your next visit and give it a go!

🍍 Fun fruit fact!

Did you know pineapples don’t grow on trees?

They actually grow from the centre of a low, leafy plant close to the ground. That spiky crown we all recognise sits right on top of the fruit as it develops.

Queensland is one of Australia’s major pineapple-growing regions too, with plenty grown right here around the Sunshine Coast and further north.

Pretty impressive for one little plant!
