*Worldviews and ways of life in Australia*

ANU researchers are exploring how perceptions and ways of thinking (i.e. worldviews) relate to experiences and ways of living (i.e. participation and inclusion) in Australia.
They are seeking respondents for their online anonymous 15-20 min survey from any and all adult Australian citizens and permanent residents living in Australia.
Please make sure you are represented in this meaningful research by completing this fascinating survey and also forwarding it to any others who may be interested. There are $100 vouchers to be won if you complete it!

The costumes have arrived and the stalls are full 👻🎃

We've already spotted witches and skeletons. The stallholders have their treats ready, the coffee's flowing, and there's still plenty of morning left to join in.

Throw on a costume (or pop one on the dog) and you'll get a free raffle ticket. Ari Davis, our busker for the day, will draw it at 12pm near the front of the market.

More than 50 heirloom tomato varieties as seedlings, including some rare ones you won’t find at the hardware store. There’s also capsicum, chilli, eggplant, herbs and dwarf sunflowers. Spring is the time to get them in the ground.

🐶 Lily’s Dog Treats
Made in Somerville by a team of people living with disability, employed through the supported wage system. Grab peanut butter dog bones, dried liver bones and mini peanut butter “cones” for your pup. There are treats for cats and Flock Blocks for the backyard chooks to peck at.

A small family orchard growing about 20 varieties of apples, pears and plums. No wax.

Dress up on Sunday to gain free entry into our Halloween prize draw.

Bring a bag for the trick or treats (it'll be treats don't worry 😉), grab a coffee, pick up your fresh fruit and veg for the week, and let the kids run off the sugar at the playgrounds.

These walnuts are grown sustainably in the Otway Ranges.

Yep, it’s going to be a wet one this Sunday 🌧

But the dedicated stallholders have been busy all week getting ready for you. Farmers picking and packing, bakers up before dawn, makers putting the finishing touches on their handmade pieces. Rain, hail or shine, they’ll be there.

The best way to say thanks? Turn up. 🧡

POV: you need to do your weekly shop anyway… so grab a brolly, pull on your gumboots and make a morning of it. Fill the basket with fresh produce, grab something warm from the oven, and maybe find a handmade treasure to take home. Hot coffee tastes better in the rain too ☔

🏅 And while you’re here, we’re in the presence of greatness. Our regular Peter from A Lot Going On craft distillery just won Gold at the 2026 Melbourne International Spirits Competition for his Coronet ‘Reposada’, a wood-matured agave spirit (think tequila).

He says he wasn’t chasing a medal, “but I’m not giving it back!” 😄 Drop by for a chat and a taste. You’ll find him tucked between Spud Sisters and Muddy Creek Veg.
