📢 ANNOUNCEMENT! 📢

🌟 FLOWER STALL CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE 🌟

Our spring flowers have finished for the season, so our flower stall will be closed until our next flower patch starts to flower!

We hope to have flowers available again at around the end of November/ early December! 🤩

We've got lots planted, including sunflowers, lisianthus, feverfew, dahlias, zinnias, celosia and strawflowers! 😍 So we'll have to wait patiently for those to flower! 😊

Keep an eye on our socials for updates on when we'll be open again! 👀

🔥 Firewood stall will remain open on the weekends as usual!

Thank you so much for your wonderful support for our spring flower season!

See you soon!

🌟 STALL CLOSED TOMORROW (SUNDAY) 🌟

We sold out today, so our stall will be closed tomorrow! Thanks everyone! 🤩

🚜 FARM UPDATE 🚜

Our spring flowers have pretty much finished for the season, as it's too hot for spring flowers, and our summer flowers haven't started yet!

It may look like we have heaps of flowers in the flower patch, but everything is just exhausted - Short stems, pest pressure, bolting to seed from the warm weather or just below average quality, but we only like to sell top quality blooms! 😍

We chopped the snapdragons under today! 😮
Why, you may ask? We don't grow snapdragons much later than October each year, as the grubs/caterpillars absolutely destroy the snapdragons during the warmer months! If you look through the photos in this post, you can see a big fat caterpillar munching on the pink snapdragons!

Even though we haven't had many flowers to pick over the last few weeks, we've been busy planting dahlias, packing dahlias for our online orders & digging and dividing ranunculus corms! 🤩

I went for a walk through the flower patch this afternoon, and it sure looks beautiful! ❤️ But the flower patch is tired and needs a bit of a rest, but hopefully we'll have plenty of flowers again around early December! 💐

Hopefully we'll be open again next Saturday with limited $10 bunches of strawflowers and statice!

Thank you so much for supporting our little flower farm! 🤩

✨️ DAHLIA TUBERS AVAILABLE ON THE STALL THIS WEEKEND! ✨️

❤️💐 GROW YOUR OWN DAHLIAS! 💐❤️

💜 1 NEW CULTIVAR AVAILABLE THIS WEEKEND! 'UNKNOWN PURPLE' 💜

It's time to plant dahlias! 🤩 I'm so excited about it, because dahlias are probably my favourite flower! 😍

We dug, and divided our dahlia clumps back in June, and stored them over winter, and NOW is the perfect time to start planting here in our climate!

We'll be planting our dahlia tubers over the next couple of weeks, so our online dahlia tuber sale will be after we've finished planting...

However some cultivars have decided that they just can't wait any longer, so we've decided to sell some of our excess tubers on our stall! 🥳 So, we'll have some dahlia tubers available on our stall this weekend! 🤩

I've packaged each tuber in a brown paper bag, with some wood shavings. (don't plant the wood shavings with it! The wood shavings are just there to protect the tuber until you get home and plant it!) I've checked each tuber, and they all have an eye, which is starting to shoot, so they're ready to plant!

Plant your tuber 10-15cm below the soil, with the eye facing up. No need to water, until it shoots above the ground (unless the soil is very dry) - (trust me. I learnt this the hard way, the first year i tried growing them, and i killed them with kindness.. 🤦‍♀️😂)

The dahlias we're selling make excellent cut flowers, or they make a stunning display in the garden! 😍

So pop in to our little stall this weekend and pick up a dahlia tuber or 2 to grow in your garden! 😊

This weekend we have:

💛 'FLORELIE DANDELION'
🧡 'AFRICAN SUNRISE' (only 1 left!)
💕 'WINKIE CAVALIER'
🩷 'EDGE OF GOLD'
💜 UNKNOWN PURPLE

💐 DAHLIA TUBERS $15 EACH (each bag contains 1 tuber)

We will have VERY limited $10 bunches of statice and strawflowers available as well.

Thanks!

💐 Rosie and Jake

P. S. Send me a dm if you have any questions! 😊
