Mother's Day gift ideas!
Come and shop our range of beautiful local crafts and produce to find the perfect gift for your loved ones. Our next market is on Sunday 3rd May, 10am - 3pm, which is perfectly timed to get a present before Mother's day the following weekend.

We have ceramics, accessories, jewellery, home wares, knitted items, cards, produce and much more!

This month we are bringing back the MACCLESFIELD COMMUNITY STALL at the market!

Do you have a small amount of produce or handmade items you would like to sell? Bring them down to the market and we can sell it on our community stall.

It could be produce, seedling, plants, cut flowers, preserves or handmade items.

We have so many fantastic makers at Macclesfield Market each month. This time, I want to highlight the work of Paula from Wool and Stitch. Paula creates beautiful sewn accessories and home-wares, often using up-cycled and vintage fabrics.

Come and visit her stall at our next market on Sunday 3rd May from 10am - 3pm

It's perfect timing to look for gifts for Mother's Day, which is the following weekend!

2 Weeks to go until our next market!

Join us at the Macclesfield Institute for beautiful local crafts, produce and preserves, coffee and hot lunches served in the kitchen. (I might make the lemony lentil soup again plus a few other things!)

We are also have FREE craft activities. This time, as it's the week before Mother's Day, we will be making giant cardboard flowers and fun pop-up cards.

Hi Maccy community!
Myself (Eleanor) and Bella Gazard have recently taken over coordinating the Macclesfield market and we wanted to hear from YOU about what you want from YOUR community market.

First up, I will share some of our ideas and plans so far...

- FREE community art and craft workshops at the market. At the moment I am organizing the workshops but if there are any artists or makers in the community who would like to volunteer their time to run a workshop, we would love to hear from you. The market can cover the cost of materials for the workshop up to $100 and also offer you a free stall to sell your art or craft. Email [email protected] if you are interested.

- Community lunches in the supper room. We are cooking simple, delicious and affordable lunches in the kitchen during the market. Come along and join us and meet neighbours and friends!

- Music - We have 3 x1.5 hour time slots for musicians to come and play outside the market. This is a paid gig of $30 for each time slot. If you would like to play, email me at [email protected]

- More produce stalls. Think fresh bread, local veggies, oils, olives, preserves etc. If you are a local producer and would like a stall, please email [email protected] We want to support our local food producers!

- Youth stalls - Do you have a creative young person between 8-18 yrs old who would like a stall? We can cover your public liability insurance (no food or beauty products).

- Seed swap table - Is there anyone in the community already doing this? If so, would you like to organise a seasonal seed swap table at the market?
