WILL THE WITCH BE BACK?

We're wondering if the witch will be making another appearance at The Macaron Bar this Halloween!

One thing we can be sure of is that Alex will have plenty of delicious Halloween macarons ready for Sunday. And if you're lucky, you might just find a little something from The Macaron Bar on our Trick or Treat Trail!

Every year, wonderful stallholders like Alex get behind our Halloween celebrations, decorating their stalls, dressing up and helping make the morning a whole lot of fun for the kids.

Our Halloween Trick or Treat Trail is on TOMORROW!

Here's how it works:

Collect your Trail bag from near the Information Stand. Each bag contains 10 tokens to exchange for 10 treats at participating stalls around the Market.

FREE for children of 2026/27 Market Members (up to 2 children per membership).

$5 per child for additional children and non members.

The Trail runs from 8.30am to 11.30am, with prizes to be won too! Complete your Trail Card and return it to the Information Stand by 11.45am to enter the 12 noon prize draw.

Bags are limited, so come early!

And here's a little hint... some of the stalls we've been featuring on our socials this week might just be on the Trail!

WE'VE GOT EGGS. LOTS OF EGGS!

It's time to dust off those egg recipes because we've got an abundance of fresh South Australian eggs at the Market right now!

Quiches, frittatas, homemade cakes, curried egg sandwiches, pavlovas, omelettes, or a good old fashioned egg and bacon roll for dinner. And let's not forget a fried egg on your burger!

There's no shortage of ways to enjoy them, and certainly no shortage of eggs at the Market this Sunday.

You'll find plenty of our egg producers outdoors: Kangaroo Island Free Range Eggs , Austar Mariculture Pty Ltd , Back Valley Farm , The Bucket Project, Rohde Egg Co. And indoors, you'll find Feather & Peck

MEET OUR PRODUCERS | LARA & PHIL

Two passionate South Australian producers, two unique products and a shared commitment to sustainable harvesting.

If you've been looking for Lara and Phil under their big white umbrellas outdoors, you'll now find them together inside the Market Pavilion, down the middle aisle.

BUSH ORGANICS | KANGAROO ISLAND

Lara and her family harvest native bush honey from the remote wilderness of Kangaroo Island, where Ligurian bees forage among the Island's diverse native flora, including Melaleuca, Mallee and Tea Tree.

Their honey is harvested from wooden hives and cold extracted by hand, without heat or electricity, before being lightly sieved to retain its natural enzymes and qualities.

Alongside their beautiful range of honey, you'll also discover products including propolis salves and eucalyptus rubs.

WILD HARVEST OLIVE OIL

Phil and his family take a different approach to producing their award winning extra virgin olive oil.

Rather than relying on cultivated orchards, they forage and hand pick olives from wild trees and abandoned groves on Kaurna and Ngarrindjeri Country.

The olives are gathered into repurposed hessian sacks and cold pressed within two days of harvesting, producing flavourful, unfiltered extra virgin olive oil.

There's an environmental benefit too. Wild olives are a declared w**d in South Australia, so harvesting the fruit helps prevent their spread and protects native vegetation.

Both producers share a commitment to working with nature, minimising waste and creating quality South Australian products.

PAS HAS A LITTLE SURPRISE!

If you haven't heard already, the family behind San Jose Smallgoods has branched out!

Pas, Jose and the family have opened a second stall at the Market, this time serving up freshly made crepes, toasted sandwiches filled with their delicious smallgoods, and coffee.

They're starting small and gradually adding to the menu, so don't be surprised if you spot Pas running between the two stalls or Jose delivering freshly sliced smallgoods from their regular stall inside the Pavilion!

It's a real family affair, and their new venture is all about giving you another delicious option for breakfast or brunch while enjoying your Sunday morning at the Market.

Pop past, say hello and see what's cooking!

You'll find their new food stall outdoors in the former Toetjes location, serving from 8am every Sunday, while San Jose Smallgoods remains in its usual spot inside the Market Pavilion.

A FAMILY TRADITION

Hahndorf Gourmet has been part of our Farmers’ Market since 2007, and there's a great family story behind this long standing stallholder.

Malcolm was the first to bring Hahndorf Gourmet to the Market, with his sons Liam and James later taking over the family business. These days, you'll often see different generations of the family behind the stall on a Sunday morning.

Hahndorf Gourmet has been making traditional smallgoods since the 1970s, using their own original recipes to produce a delicious range of European, Baltic and continental favourites.

From beef jerky, mettwurst and salami to twiggy sticks for the kids' lunchboxes, there's plenty to choose from.

And if you haven't tried their chevapchichi, they're a must! With warmer weather here and BBQ season approaching, they're perfect for throwing on the grill. Don't forget to stock up on their delicious sausages while you're there.

And dare we say it, Christmas is getting closer! It's also a good time to start thinking about your Christmas ham and festive entertaining.

You'll find Hahndorf Gourmet inside the Market Pavilion every Sunday from 8.30am to 12.30pm at the Adelaide Showground.
