First up, a reminder that we're now delivering to ALL areas on Wednesdays. There are no more Friday delivery runs, so please keep this in mind when placing your orders.

Now for the good stuff!

Black sapote are back! Also known as chocolate pudding fruit, these beauties have a dark brown, soft flesh when ripe. Timing is everything with these. They need to be VERY soft and squishy before you cut them. If they're still firm, leave them on the bench and give them more time. Cut them too early and you'll miss out on that lovely pudding-like texture.

The first mangoes of the season have arrived! It's always exciting to see them coming back.

We've also got baby cucumbers available this week.

Get your orders in and enjoy this week's fresh arrivals. Remember, all deliveries are now on Wednesday!

IMPORTANT DELIVERY UPDATE

Friday 16th October will be our last Friday delivery for a while.

With the rising cost of running a small business, especially fuel and the cost of doing two delivery runs, it’s becoming difficult to keep the Friday run viable.

So we’ve decided to simplify things and do one big delivery run on Wednesdays.

Unfortunately, this also means we’ll be stopping deliveries to D’Aguilar and Woodford for now.

D’Aguilar & Woodford subscriptions will be cancelled automatically
All other Friday subscriptions will be moved to Wednesday automatically

We know this may be disappointing for some of you, and it wasn’t an easy decision.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to support our small business. Every order really does make a difference, and we hope this change allows us to keep Our Farmacy going strong.

If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with us.

Thank you for supporting local.

Friendly reminder:
Orders for Friday delivery will close tomorrow at 12pm

WE KNOW THE COST OF LIVING IS HURTING RIGHT NOW

So we wanted to remind you that our Mixed Boxes are excellent value.

Did you know that if you added up the same items individually at one of the big supermarkets, you’d pay more than you do for one of our boxes?

And there are a few other bonuses:

You don’t have to drive to the shops.
We deliver straight to your door.
Our produce is fresh and low to no spray where possible.
And you’re supporting a small local business.

You can also build your own box and choose exactly what you want!

Our mixed boxes are:
Small $50
Medium $65
Large $80

And if you subscribe, you get $5 off your box every time.

We also think there’s something to be said for getting produce that hasn’t been sitting around in a supermarket for who knows how long. They do like to hold onto their produce!

If you’re trying to make your grocery money stretch a little further, give Green Plough a try.

Fresh. Seasonal. Low to no spray where possible. Good value. Delivered to your door.

CHOCOLATE PUDDING FRUIT IS HERE!

Meet Black Sapote (Diospyros digyna), also known as the Chocolate Pudding Fruit.

And yes... it really does have a rich, chocolatey flavour. When perfectly ripe, the flesh turns soft, dark brown, creamy and pudding-like. It’s honestly delicious.

The secret is patience.

Don’t cut it open while it’s still firm. You want it almost squishy and VERY soft. That’s when the texture and flavour are at their best. Cut it too early and you simply won’t get the full chocolate-pudding experience!
