Yeehaw, our cowgirls and cowboys had a fabulous time at our first rodeo this week.

The children and educators had so much fun line dancing meeting some super cute farm animals having horse races digging for buried gold listening to some great Australian country music and a range of other rodeo experiences.

We didn’t want our parents to miss out on the fun so we arranged for our local coffee van to visit in the morning so that we could shout them free coffees to start their day.

So many happy memories created on this special day. Thank you so much to our families who supported your child with their dress ups and special thanks to our educators who never hesitate to participate in these experiences .

Today we went about with intention to ask our colleagues and friends the important question “are you ok?”
While this is wonderful to ask this today, it is so important that we continue this as an ongoing practice. Such a simple question opens up the opportunity to someone to share how they are going.

📚✨ BOOK WEEK MAGIC HAS ARRIVED! ✨📚
Once upon a time… our centre was filled with little bookworms, magical characters, big imaginations and LOTS of smiles! 🧚‍♀️🦸‍♂️🦖👑

From favourite storybook characters to creative costumes, our little learners have brought their favourite books to life! 📖💫

There’s nothing quite like seeing the joy on their faces as they step into the pages of a story and let their imaginations run wild. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful families for getting involved and helping make Book Week so much fun! 🥰

📚 Keep reading, keep imagining, and remember… every great adventure starts with a book! 🌈✨

Last week, our children explored the wonderful world of science through hands-on play and discovery! 🧪🌱🧲💡

From experimenting, predicting and hypothesising to exploring cause and effect, magnetism, light, reflection and refraction, and watching plants grow, our little scientists were busy asking questions, testing ideas and making discoveries.

We love seeing where curiosity and imagination can lead! 🌟

What a wonderful opportunity to have your family photo taken for a very affordable price. This offer is open to all Sesame Lane families (you don't need to attend our North Lakes McLennan Court Service.)

📸 COMPETITION TIME – WIN YOUR FAMILY PHOTO SESSION! 📸

We have something incredibly special to share! One of our beautiful families had already booked and paid for their session but can no longer attend. Rather than letting it go to waste, they have very generously chosen to gift the session to another Sesame Lane family!🧡

To enter, simply book your $20 family photography session with our wonderful photographer, Bede on Saturday, 8 August. Every family who books will automatically go into the draw to have their session completely paid for!

Bede is an incredibly talented professional photographer who captures the most beautiful, natural family portraits. For only $20, you’ll receive a professional colour 8x12” portrait and keyring—while also supporting team development at Sesame Lane. It truly is such a wonderful opportunity to update your family photos without the usual photography price tag!

Sessions are limited and bookings are essential, so scan the QR code on the flyer or visit:

Reflecting on our beautiful NAIDOC week celebrations across our Junior Kindy and Senior Kindy rooms, where children explored Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through meaningful play, storytelling and creative experiences. ❤️💛🖤

❤️💛🖤 Celebrating NAIDOC week in our Kindergarten space through meaningful play, storytelling and connection. Our learning spaces were enriched with bush Tucker exploration, a yarning circle, Dreaming stories, Ochre artwork, sensory sand and First Nations symbols in sand and play dough. Together we’re nurturing an appreciation for the rich cultures, histories and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our commitment to learning, respect and connection continues everyday. 💙🤍💚
