Saturday shares starting tomorrow 10am β 1pm! While Maker Markets take a break, Hawkes hero Andrea is spotlighting Farm suppliers with samples on offer outside our Farm market β so you can try before you buy and get to know our local champions better.
This Saturday between 10am and 1pm, Annette and Jodie from Heirloom Gourmet Foods will showcase their amazing drizzle range to complement meats, veggies or desserts β based on timeless Aussie classics.
"We have a similar collaborative philosophy in approach to food as Hawkes," says Mark, co-owner and co-founder of the Mother-Son business.
"... family-focus, value for money, versatility, integrity and quality produce. We love the Peninsula and all its locally-focused stores. We produce small-batch drizzles, so you won't find us in major grocery stores."
"This Saturday 10am β 1pm, my mum Annette (in her mid-80s!) and Jodie are offering tastings from our savoury and sweet range outside the Farm Market."
"My mum moved here 20 years ago from Melbourne where I grew up, and I joined her in the late twenty-tens after travelling and working in Cairo. Now we're based in Mornington β it's such a beautiful part of the world."
"It began in 2020 when Mum and I were talking about her Grandma Polly Fox over a roast (lamb of course). My Great-Grandmother β pictured in the middle above β ran a sheep station in rural Victoria with seven kids around her. Polly's love of cooking became legendary in the family and her handwritten recipes are a treasured reminder of a time gone by when ingredients came straight from the kitchen garden. We started making Grandma Pollyβs mint drizzle β deep flavours, all natural ingredients, made in Australia with a proud Aussie heritage. The other flavours followed with the same vivid character and fresh, locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients."
"We're playing around with flavoured mayonnaise, which you can make yourself by combining our drizzle with quality mayo or aioli β think lemon, mango, mint mayo... they go really well with hot chips!"
