THE ELIADO CUT
Is Meat Really the Problem?
For years, meat β especially red meat β has been blamed for many health problems.
But maybe the real question should be:
Is meat the problem⦠or is it what we eat with it?
A piece of quality beef is not the same as a plate loaded with processed food, sugary drinks, deep-fried sides, refined carbs, and artificial additives.
Real meat is one of the most nutrient-dense foods we can eat.
It provides complete protein, which helps the body build and repair. It is also a natural source of important nutrients like iron, zinc, vitamin B12 and other minerals that support energy, strength and general wellbeing.
Protein also helps you feel fuller for longer, which can support better appetite control and weight management when combined with the right overall diet.
The problem is not simply βmeat.β
The bigger problem is often:
- Too much processed food
- Too much sugar
- Too many refined carbohydrates
- Poor-quality oils
- Overeating
- Lack of movement
- Poor sleep
- Stress
There is also a big difference between fresh, quality meat and heavily processed meat products. Processed meats are often salted, cured, smoked, or preserved, and many health experts advise limiting them.
So instead of fearing meat, perhaps we should learn how to choose it wisely.
Choose quality.
Cook it properly.
Balance your plate.
Avoid over-processing.
And pay attention to what your body responds well to.
Meat is not the enemy. Poor food choices are.
What do you think β has meat been unfairly misunderstood?
