FoodZone was established in 2011 ko Phiri just by the busy Mabalane road. It was a great idea of Tumelo Pejane & Thabo Ngoepe. 'It all started with 15 T-shirts outside Maponya Mall in Pimville with a stall called TeesZone,,kaffers thought it wouldn't happen,but bcos of belief n determination it is still thriving for quality. They started selling - Liver (Sebete) and Pap at a very reasonable price.

They now offer Sebete (Liver), Pelo (Heart) Chicken stripes and Beef stripes with Pap. They started the business with the aim to assist in feeding our society. Now They have opened a branch which is called FoodZone@DaView (Just opposite the Reya Vaya Bus station and Regina Mundi)... and possibilities are infinite...

Our Story

FOODZONE.ZAR “WE SERVE FOOD WITH PASSION”

FoodZone.ZAR was established in 2011@ Phiri in Soweto. The idea behind the outdoor restaurant lies in the brains of Tumelo and Thabo (founders). The business started very small with a basic menu of selling Pap and Liver (Sebete). The need for such food was birthed by the lack of restaurant that caters for the African cuisine in the vicinity.

The business since grew from its inception phase to the current daily operational servicing and the rebranded itself when it moved from Phiri to Lakeview. The menu offering also expanded to include more of the African Cuisine and Speciality Menu is also included.
