So many ways to make eggs but I keep going back to this because it never fails !

Also I love layering spices during different stages of cooking and it really makes a huge difference.

Also these honey butter crisps are on repeat

Honey Butter Kettle Crisps
with lemon garlic dip

Lemon Garlic Dip
2 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp yogurt
2 cloves garlic, finely grated
Lemon zest
1 to 2 tsp lemon juice
Pinch of salt

Mix everything together until smooth. Taste and adjust the lemon if needed. Set aside.

⸻

Honey Butter Crisps
60 g butter
1 generous tsp chicken salt
1 tbsp Krea sriracha
Honey to taste
Squeeze of lemon juice
1 bag kettle crisps

To finish
Lemon zest
Finely chopped chives or parsley

Melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chicken salt and sriracha and let it heat through gently. Once combined, add honey to your preferred sweetness and allow it to come together until slightly glossy. Add a small squeeze of lemon juice.

Add the kettle crisps straight into the pan and toss while everything is still hot so they coat evenly.

Plate immediately and finish with lemon zest and herbs. Serve with the dip.

Omani Shuwa with Biryani Rice

Shuwa Paste
• 5–6 tbsp tamarind paste
• 5 garlic cloves
• 1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli
• 1 tsp turmeric powder
• 1 tsp cinnamon powder
• 1 tsp cardamom powder
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp coriander powder
• 2 tbsp date vinegar (or white vinegar)

Mix everything together to form a thick paste.

Marinating the Chicken
1. Coat the chicken generously with the Shuwa paste.
2. Let it marinate at least 4 hours so the spices really soak in.
3. Place the chicken on wax paper with whole garlic cloves and a generous amount of ghee.
4. Wrap tightly in wax paper, then wrap it again in foil twice so no steam escapes.
5. Place it on a rack over a tray filled with water — this helps the chicken stay moist.
6. Bake at 140°C for about 2 hours.

⸻

Biryani Rice
• 4 cups basmati rice (washed + soaked)

Whole spices
• Bay leaves
• Cloves
• Cardamom
• Cinnamon stick + 1 Dried lime

To cook
1. Heat ghee in a large pot.
2. Add the whole spices and 1 chopped onion.
3. When the onion turns golden, add:
• 1 tbsp chopped ginger
• 1 tbsp chopped garlic
• 1.5 tbsp Shuwa paste
• 1.5 tsp Krea Biryani Spice
• 1 tbsp salt
4. Sauté for 1–2 minutes.
5. Add the soaked rice and 7.5 cups boiling water.
6. Cook on high until the water reduces and you can clearly see the rice.
7. When rice and water reach the same level, lower the heat, cover, and steam until cooked.

Saffron Mix (to add halfway)
• Generous pinch saffron
• ½ tsp cardamom powder
• Pinch of biryani colour
• Mix with a few tablespoons of water
Pour this gently over the rice halfway through cooking for colour and aroma.

Cook until rice is fluffy and all the water is absorbed.

I’ve been wanting to say this for years… but today it finally feels real.
After almost 8 years of building krea and the community behind it , and after so many of you asking me to do this, I finally hosted my first cooking workshop.

If I’m honest, I’ve put this off for a long time because of my own imposter syndrome .
it’s something I’ve struggled with quietly. But I pushed past it, and I’m so glad I did.

And of course, it had to be breakfast.
From the egg spice to the French toast to the little breakfast things you’ve always shown so much love for… this felt like the most natural place to start.

We kept it small and intimate — just ten women.
Very relaxed. Very informal. Exactly the way I am in real life and in my kitchen.
Everyone cooked, everyone got involved, everyone learned something… and the energy in that room was honestly so special.

I’m really big on creating spaces that feel natural and unforced.
No pressure. No pretences .
Just real people learning together and enjoying good food.
And that’s how this morning felt.

A huge thank you to the people who made this happen:
for the most incredible team and opening up your space to us unconditionally ♥️
.temptations for being part of krea”s journey from the very beginning.
This is just the beginning.
We’re already planning more workshops, more learning, more sharing… and I can’t wait to grow this series with you.
My heart is full.
Thank you for being part of first breakfast series. 🤍
