We are beyond thrilled to let everyone know that the ‘Johnsons Post’ Weekend Market is back and it’s happening THIS SATURDAY the 31st October, from 8am!

We will be bringing you some of the delicious old favourites, and even a few new tantalising surprises… Speaking of surprises, you’ll also discover there’s been a few changes here at ‘Johnson’s Post’! (this is something you’re going to hear us say quite a bit).

You’ll have to pop in and find out for yourself!

Remember, we are now open from 8am - 7 days a week!

We aren’t just another “Pitstop” along the drive, a place where you can grab a few things and then forget about as you drive away…

For some, we are the destination. A place they will never forget…

At ‘Johnson’s Post’ we aim to bring you the very best, made with love, served with pride, shared with gratitude…
We set out to bring beautiful products to the community we care about, but soon realised that a lot of the real magic actually comes from what YOU bring US.

A story from your childhood about buying meat from the very building we inhabit today. A group of ladies meeting up for a Bible study on a quiet week-day morning. Cyclists stopping to refuel and catch a breath and grab a Coffee and Oat Crunchie. The meeting of friends, the person reading in a sunlit corner. The rescue dog, resting under the table while coffee brews and jazz plays in the background…

It’s moments like these that make us feel the true alchemy of what we are doing. They remind us that as much as we appreciate how often people have said ‘We have needed Johnson’s Post’!

Well, ‘Johnson’s Post’ is a sum of all parts of that narrative, and yet, so much more… We are steadily building and becoming that “HUB” again, that ’Johnson’s Post’ has known to be in generations past!

It’s pretty obvious that ‘Johnson’s Post’ has strong ties to our past and that we get a bit of a kick out of honouring this connection in our own special little ways…

Other than offering you some delicious traditional delicacies, we also love that we are able to share some history with our visitors in our actual physical space.

Maybe it’s the family tree on the wall? Or that sweet drawer full of well-played-with Lego men all staring at you? Perhaps you recognise one of the faces in a photograph? Or a wade whimsy on the printers tray? Do our ‘Vintage Tins’ on display take you back to a different time and place?

As we grow and change, it’s important to remember the roads that were traveled to get us here and the people who laid the stones of our foundation.

What better way to take a moment than with one of these ‘Petite Caramel Treats’, a little cup of nostalgia… with the sweetness of things to come…

So here’s the thing!

We have to come clean, and we are SO EXCITED to share it with you! We have been tinkering on something the past few weeks… Perfecting the recipe, mixing, brewing and blending like scientist’s to get the correct texture, flavour, look and feel!

It’s been a process, as most of the best things happen to be, yet, we are now finally happy to share it with all of you, BECAUSE, we feel we have perfected it, and the result is unimaginably delicious…

It really is something like none other, and seems as though it could be paired with a huge variety of flavours, the cheeses and preserves that come to mind make our senses tingle. What started as a simple idea, a sharing of thoughts and connecting of minds, has blossomed into a wonderful process of more creation with our baking star, ‘Peetra’!

If there is any place that understands the idea of being a ‘Pit-stop’, it’s ’Johnson’s Post’!

You could even say it’s in our DNA! ✉️

Now, As much as we’d love to have you sit back and relax, enjoy the view, savour your coffee, and have a slice of cake (or two?). We do understand that destinations must be reached and we lay somewhere in-between A and B. We aren’t a final destination but we pride ourself on being ‘a wonderful little spot along the way’.

It’s a perfect place for a quick stretch and replenish, and we aren’t just tooting our own horn!

We had a wet but wonderful Sunday here at ‘Johnson’s Post’!

It is always so heartwarming when the weather doesn’t keep our customers away ( some even said it added to the experience! ) THANK YOU to all who paid us a visit!

We’ve got an exciting week ahead or us and some really cool things unfolding. There is going to be a lot more to share with you all and we can barely contain our glee!

Even the sheep have came to see what all the commotion’s about!

You’ll notice when you arrive at ‘Johnson’s Post’, it’s all in the details… Every time you come through you may spot something different, not seen before, yet, it was there all along.

That simple smile from Sips or KB of acknowledgment… A hug of nostalgia from an old friend… Or the crossing paths of travellers.

We know that love is in the details. We take pride in that. This is why we strive to always give our best on any given day. It’s just a part of who we are and what we are about.
