π§π² Butternut Soup with Grilled Cheese Toasties
Creamy butternut soup and golden, cheesy toasties β the ultimate winter comfort combo. Thick-cut sourdough sandwiches filled with cheddar and caramelised onion relish make this hearty meal extra satisfying.
Serves: 4
Ready in: About 30 minutes
Ingredients:
β’ 1 packet PnP creamy butternut soup
β’ 1 block PnP full fat cheddar cheese
β’ 1 loaf sourdough bread
β’ Β½ jar PnP caramelised onion relish
β’ Butter, for spreading
Method:
1. Empty the soup into a pot and gently heat on the stove. You can also heat it in the microwave, stirring every minute.
2. Grate the cheese and cut the sourdough into 12 slices.
3. Spread the caramelised onion relish onto each bread slice, then add grated cheese.
4. Sandwich with the remaining slices and spread butter on the outsides.
5. Toast the sandwiches in a pan over medium heat until the bread is golden and crisp and the cheese has melted. Halve each sandwich.
6. Ladle the warm soup into 4 bowls and serve with the grilled cheese toasties.
