PIP (Pride in Performance) Awards

The PIP awards are only received by staff who have shown exceptional and consistent commitment in their daily work ethic. The SRS Management Team judge the recipients on a set criteria, which includes enthusiasm, initiative, team work, image, accuracy meeting deadlines and honesty. In this case, Ester Marshall (Data Analyst and more) together with Barbara Smail (SRS Gauteng Region PA and more) were recognised and nominated to receive the coverted PIP award.

SRS REGIONAL FRANCHISE/MANAGEMENT CHANGES
LIMPOPO AND MPUMALANGA LOWVELD FRANCHISE

Leon van Heerden and Johan Minnaar will no longer service the chain stores, but will continue to represent SRS in the hardware independent trade (with the exception of Lasher) in the above areas. The chain store business, (effective August 2017) will be serviced by SRS HO and the overall operational management will now be the responsibility of Bruce Smail, GM – SRS HO.

Leon and Johan jointly said: “Doug thank you for allowing us to be part of the SRS family and the opportunities we had for personal growth and lessons learned. To all of the SRS family, we thank you for the good times and support in harder times; remember the values that made us successful. Pop in when you are in this lovely province!”

SOUTH AFRICA VS FRANCE - CLIENT RUGBY FUNCTION (SATURDAY, 10 JUNE 2017)
Hosted by the SRS Client Account Manager Division, clients came from far and wide to be part of the pre-game festivities held at the Elandsfontein offices. The build-up was electric and to ensure our clients were on time for the live match, were whisked off to Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria. Needless to say, the excitement of the SA 37 win added to the enjoyment and success of the day.
The feedback from our clients was so positive, that future sessions are assured in the future.

SRS CYCLE MEETINGS

Every six weeks, Cycle Meetings are held in all regions, attended by Management, Territory Sales Supervisors (TSSs) and In-store Sales Representatives (ISRs). These meetings serve as a platform to share general information and to reiterate and under-pin company goals. The SRS annual theme this year is: “We are focused on GROWTH beyond expectation.”

Keith Smith, Regional Manager, SRS Western Cape, decided to go one step further at his Cycle Meeting and arranged an informal potjie competition between the TSSs and the ISRs people. The team building competition was a huge success and fun was had by all.

STAFF TRAINING AT REINFORCED HOSING (WATEX)
AND BAMBASANI HOLDINGS (SEBOR)

Jonathan Dineen, SRS Client Account Manager, together with the SRS Territory Sales Supervisors (TSSs) and the Merchandising Hit Squad (MHS) attended on-site training sessions on 16 March at the above factories. The teams were taken through the manufacturing processes, from raw material to the end product, which the participants found most informative. The consensus of the teams was this type of training led to a better understanding of the products and importance of our sales and merchandising role in maximizing sales potential.
