A true Mzansi comfort-food favourite! ❤️
Try this hearty, filling recipe for a family meal everyone will enjoy.

Ingredients:
1kg Jwayelani beef cubes
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 tbsp curry powder
3 cups spinach or umfino, chopped
1 beef stock, dissolved in 2 cups of boiling water
1kg maize meal, for the pap

Method:
1. In a large pot, heat oil and brown the beef cubes in batches. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same pot, fry onions and curry powder until soft and fragrant.
3. Return the beef to the pot, pour in the beef stock, cover and simmer on low heat until meat is tender.
4. Stir in the spinach or umfino during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Cook until wilted and the gravy has thickened.
5. Prepare a large pot of stiff pap and serve alongside the beef stew.
