Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free creations from our kitchen to soothe your senses and soul to leave your body energetically smiling and workshops to empower you. I created the group as a place where others could share the love of bread, exchange recipes, photos, information. Little did I realise then that I would be baking artisan sourdough breads full time in years to come. In 2019 I decided to

start hosting bread baking workshops from home. It was my dream and passion to teach others how to bake their own sourdough bread. The pandemic in 2020 forced me to close my Travel business of 20yrs. I extended an area of my home into a fully equipped bakery/kitchen. Flour Power became more than a hobby but a full time business. I have a stoneground mill which I use on the day to mill flour for rye, wholewheat and gluten free breads. All breads are made by hand with the finest ingredients and lots of love. The sourdough starter/culture I use in all breads, is the same culture I started on 6 Jan 2016. I called her "Eve" in honour of my mom. My love for baking bread started after my mom passed away. I believe this was her gift to me.That was the beginning of my bread journey. I am pairing my breads, with soups, hand churned butters, pestos and hummus.

Good morning 😊
It has been an absolute privilege baking for you the past 2.5 years, and I thank you each and everone for all your support during the most difficult time of Covid. Some might know, but I was in the travel industry for the past 25yrs, and was forced to shut down my business, Blue Sapphire Travel, when Covid hit. Hence focus was on my other passion, the love of bread.
I will continue to run bread workshops upon request. Flour Power Daily will continue but in a different form.

Bruschetta for dinner👩‍🍳 ❤️ A typical Italian antipasto meal.
Bruschetta is the bread, not the topping, and is pronounced “brew-sketta”, not “brew-shetta”.
The bread is toasted, and then rubbed with garlic and olive oil drizzled over.

The topping. Beautifully crisp fresh flavours. I used the last few sweet tomatos from my garden. The topping is tomatos, chopped red onion, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, garlic, basil,salt, pepper.
