Establish Farmers Mobile Market in Prishtinë/Priština is a project supported by the European Union Office in Kosova and implemented by Prishtinë/Priština Municipality, in partnership with “Gratë në Biznes” and “CEED Kosova”, with the overall objective to improve economic development conditions for local agricultural businesses and farmers to reach regional markets and stimulate import substitution
. Through establishment of this farmers mobile market in 9 different locations in Prishtinë/Priština is aimed improving of supply and the value chain aiming at promoting local production; re-vitalizing rural economy in the region Centre and other Kosovo regions by creating new job opportunities, particularly for young farmers in order to reduce unemployment, alleviate poverty and reduce migration. Who will benefit from Mobile Farmers Market Project?
• 8 Municipalities from Economic Region Centre (ERC): Prishtinë/Priština, Drenas/Glogovac, Shtime/Štimlje, Podujevë/Podujevo, Obiliq/Obilić, Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje, Graçanicë/Gračanica and Lipjan/Lipljan.
• 1200 local farmers - family businesses, of Economic Region Centre (ERC)
• Prishtinë/Pristina citizens, and the citizens from the neighboring communities
• Retail businesses of Prishtinë/Priština and surrounding areas
• All communities of the municipalities in the ERC, where action will be implemented
The Mobile Market will be positioned in 9 different locations (neighbourhoods) in Prishtinë/Priština city. This market will be mobile and every day will move to a different location as designated by the Prishtinë/Priština Municipality. Prishtinë/Priština inhabitants will be informed on the day of the week when this market will be opened in their neighbourhood. The nine (9) locations in Prishtinë/Priština where the mobile market will be set are:
• Neighbourhood Centre – square “Zahir Pajaziti”
• Neighbourhood Tophane – square “Adem Jashari”
• Neighbourhood Arbëri – Parking place at the new municipal building
• Neighbourhood Taslixhe – Parking place at the entrance of Taukbahqe Park
• Neighbourhood Kodra e Trimave – Parking place at the primary school “Hilmi Rakovica”
• Neighbourhood Sunny Hill – Parking place at the “white flats”
• Neighbourhood Mati 1 – Parking place at the primary school “Pavarësia”
• Neighbourhood Dardania – Parking place at the primary school “Dardania”
• Neighbourhood Ulpianë – Parking place at Fontana.
