Mua đồ Refill là sao?

Bạn chỉ cần mang hũ cũ tới, tụi mình sẽ cân bì để trừ phần trọng lượng của hũ. Sau đó, bạn lấy bao nhiêu thì lấy, ít nhiều gì cũng được.
Lấy xong, tụi mình cân lại một lần nữa và tính tiền đúng theo lượng bạn đã đong.

Vậy là xong.

Một hũ được dùng thêm một lần, và mình không phải mang thêm một chiếc bao bì mới về nhà.

Lần đầu ghé mà chưa có hũ cũng không sao. Tụi mình có hũ cho bạn mượn tạm.

Cốc giấy, hay các loại bao bì giấy có lớp màng bên trong có thể không vô hại như bạn nghĩ.

Một nghiên cứu khoa học (đăng trên Journal of Hazardous Materials) cho thấy: chỉ sau 15 phút chứa nước nóng (85-90°C), cốc giấy dùng một lần có thể giải phóng tới 25.000 hạt vi nhựa vào đồ uống của bạn. Nguyên nhân đến từ lớp màng nhựa mỏng phủ bên trong để chống thấm nước — lớp màng này bị phân hủy khi gặp nhiệt, kéo theo cả vi nhựa lẫn một số kim loại nặng.

Không phải để bạn hoảng loạn bỏ ly cà phê sáng nay. Chỉ là — nếu bạn đã có sẵn ly hoặc bình cá nhân, đây là một lý do nhỏ để mang theo lần tới. 🌱

Paper coffee cups release significant amounts of microplastics and chemicals when filled with hot beverages. Most disposable paper cups feature a thin polyethylene (PE) or similar plastic lining to prevent leakage, as uncoated paper quickly absorbs liquid. When hot coffee or tea, typically around 85–90°C, contacts this lining, the plastic film begins to degrade rapidly.

This degradation causes the release of thousands of tiny plastic particles into the drink. Research shows that within just 15 minutes—the typical time to consume a cup—approximately 25,000 micron-sized microplastic particles can leach into 100 ml of hot liquid.

Even smaller nanoplastics may also enter the beverage in much higher numbers. Alongside these particles, the process releases ions such as fluoride, chloride, and sulfate, plus trace heavy metals like lead, chromium, and cadmium that were present in the lining.

Regular consumption of hot drinks from these cups could therefore lead to unintended daily intake of microplastics. These particles raise health concerns because they may accumulate in the body, potentially contributing to inflammation, oxidative stress, and disruption of endocrine function, although long-term effects in humans require further study.

The heat accelerates breakdown, making hot beverages far more problematic than cold ones. Many people unknowingly ingest these contaminants multiple times daily through routine coffee or tea purchases. Switching to reusable glass, ceramic, or stainless steel alternatives offers a practical way to reduce exposure while enjoying favorite drinks.

BẠN CÓ BIẾT? Không phải loại nhựa nào cũng như nhau đâu ♻️

Lướt qua để xem loại nhựa nào thực sự tái chế được — và loại nào không nha.

✅ Tái chế được (số 1, 2, 5): PET, HDPE, PP — chai nước suối, chai dầu gội, hộp đựng thực phẩm. Đây là những loại có giá trị tái chế thật sự và được nhiều nơi thu gom xử lý.

🤏 Có nhưng khó (số 4): LDPE — túi nylon, chai lọ mềm, túi zip. Về lý thuyết là tái chế được, nhưng rất ít cơ sở nhận xử lý loại này. NWTG thường có nhận loại này nhưng cơ sở xử lý hiện đang quá tải nên tiệm cũng đang ngưng nhận.

❌ Không tái chế được (số 3, 6, 7): PVC, PS và "Others" — ống nước, hộp xốp đựng thực phẩm, hay đồ nhựa hỗn hợp như vỏ CD/DVD, bình nước lớn. Đây là những loại nên tránh mua ngay từ đầu.

Các loại nhựa ở trang đầu, bạn chỉ cần sắp xếp sạch sẽ để trước cửa nhà thì các cô ve chai sẽ thu gom ngay. NWTG cũng nhận thu gom các loại nhựa này nữa đó, nên bạn cũng có thể mang tới cửa hàng nếu tiện.

Not all plastics are created equal ♻️

✅ Recyclable (1, 2, 5): PET, HDPE, PP — your water bottles, shampoo bottles, and food tubs. These have real recycling value and get picked up by most systems.

🤏 Sometimes (4): LDPE — bread bags, squeeze bottles, ziplock bags. Recyclable in theory, but far fewer facilities actually accept it. We used to accept these at our recycling drop off but we have to stop in the mean time as the recycling facility is over capacity at the moment.

❌ Almost never (3, 6, 7): PVC, PS, and "Others" — piping, styrofoam takeaway boxes, and mixed plastics like DVDs or water cooler jugs. These are the ones to avoid buying in the first place.

For the plastics on the first slide, just sort them cleanly and leave them outside your door — the local scrap collectors (cô ve chai) will pick them up right away. NWTG also accepts these types of plastic for collection too!
