Taiwanese White is our Tea of the Month!

This delicate white tea from Sanxia has soft notes of honeysuckle and a hint of peach. Using hotter water brings out fresh hay aromas. It is minimally processed and light, with voluminous leaves that make it perfect to enjoy now or to age for later.

It is sold only in the original 75 gram farmer packaging to protect the fragile leaves.

To brew, use 180 degree water in a gaiwan and steep for about 2 minutes or until the tea looks vibrant. Strain and enjoy, then repeat the process several times!

Our latest trip through Taiwan and China was packed with everything we love. Foggy tea mountains, wild national parks, epic waterfalls, and way too many snack breaks. One moment we were sipping fresh oolong with a view, the next we were wandering through night markets or cooling off with mango shaved ice. It was the kind of trip where every turn brought something new, and every cup of tea told its own story. Here are just a few of our favorite moments from the adventure.

Can you guess the tea just from the leaves?

We first featured this one during our 2015 Kickstarter, sourced from southeast of Pu’er in Yunnan. Smooth, malty, and perfect hot or iced — it’s a classic for a reason.

What do you think it is?

Tea of the Month: Lishan Premium

“I would serve this Lishan to the most discriminating connoisseur.” — Tea industry insider

Our Lishan Premium is one of Taiwan’s most prized High Mountain Oolongs, grown in the famous Fushoushan area of Lishan — a place many consider the best tea-growing region in Taiwan.

At elevations above 2000 meters, the cold mountain air, mist, and bright sunshine all come together to help the leaves grow slowly and develop incredible depth. The result is a tea that’s smooth, full-bodied, and carries the fragrance of the mountains in every sip.
Some people love the thicker, more textured winter harvest, while others enjoy the more floral, delicate spring crop — both are excellent in their own way.

We’re proud to share this tea with you. It’s one of our personal favorites and a great example of what makes Taiwanese Gaoshancha so special.
