Our family built a multi generational business from the space that Yaya’s Cravings occupies now at Central Market York. It was a pleasure to meet Yaya, and Riley and I were so happy that she understands how special that space is, and we truly wish her the best!! ❤️ (and her food is delicious!)

Today I received a completely unexpected visit that made this day even more special. When I first took over this stand at Central Market, I was told that the family who had this space before me had been here for decades , nearly 100 years. From the very beginning, I thought that was simply incredible.

Today, I had the opportunity to meet two ladies who are part of that family’s story. They grew up with this stand as part of their lives, sharing moments here and being connected, in one way or another, to everything this space represented for so many years.

Thinking about all the generations, memories, and moments that have passed through this very same place, and knowing that Yaya’s Cravings now has the blessing of beginning a new chapter here, fills me with so much gratitude.

It was so special to hear a little piece of that history directly from them. May God bless them always, and I truly hope that one day I also get the chance to meet the person who spent so many years here and helped build that legacy.

Some places are so much more than just a space… they hold history, generations, and memories.
