What do you do with your aging fruits and vegetables??? I sweat every last drop of flavor out of them. onions getting soft? apples getting spriongy? carrots drying out? garlic sprouting? that all equals big crock-Pot full of tasties!!!!!!!
this is a pork shoulder roast or I would probably throw potatoes in there too. I think I'll make french fried potatoes and pulled pork sandwiches when this is done

Our FALL AND WINTER ideas...
Please comment your thoughts about winter produce.
Rocky may open (couple days a week) Produce Off The Porch Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays. This would be with Northern Ohio tomatoes. We did have them early April 2024 while waiting for homegrown. We all agreed they were very tasty compared to the grocery options. They were worth it!

I will be baking, canning, candy making, crafting, upcycling, working my kroger short shifts, fulfilling instacart orders, sourcing and listing for my eBay/Etsy/Marketplace platforms, plus I do have a couple job opportunities for later this winter.

We can keep fresh regional produce coming in during the colder months. We can sell on the porch during mild days. I foresee packaging orders for you to pick up curbside at our home on the colder days. Our favorite time of the year of course is Fresh Local Produce harvest time that runs May thru October. Until then, I'm sure you agree, quality during the winter does matter and we can provide that for you!

hey guys, help me decide. this is a 4XL hooded Carhartt. it has 10 tiny holes (maybe snags or acid splash) but otherwise in great condition. there were 2 similar holes side by side. Should I bother fixing all of them? Repairing could increase the value by $40- $50. The way I am repairing it should completely stop the fraying around the hole. Would take 3 or more hours while relaxing in my chair?......🤷

***3rd update. today is Wednesday the 21st and Rocky made huge improvements during the night!!!! he is still in the pulmonary ICU. he has had breakfast. he is off the oxygen mask and may even be coming home today. **2nd update. Rocky was alert after surgery in the recovery area. Later he had high CO2 levels, VERY groggy and a lot of pain. He had to get another breathing tube (tube removed for the second time) he is in the Pulmonary ICU resting. It seems like it might take a little extra time to bounce back.

*1st update. surgery is underway. we have found out this morning it is a 5 hour surgery. much better than 12hrs.. maybe 12 was arrival till finished and awake.

The season is ending awkwardly for the second year in a row. Rocky has a scheduled surgery this week. We thought it might be the same as a surgery he had a year or two ago. It is not. Previously it was a 2 or 3 hours surgery then back home within a few hours. This time we have found out it is 733 minutes. That's over 12 hours of anesthesia with his COPD. It is a much more intense surgery because of how close the procedure will be to a main artery. I will keep you all updated ♥️

Finished!!! Rocky wanted to keep the fray and line it with flannel. the only thing I might change is the red blanket stitch above the Levi sizing tag... maybe by spring. LOL 😂

Have you ever made homemade pepper sauce? Rocky taught me to use it on soup, beans and cornbread.
I clean and cut up 5-6 jalapenos
boil apple c***r vinegar
stuffed the peppers in a bottle
let apple c***r vinegar cool off a little bit so I don't break my bottle
grab a funnel and pour it in
I don't tighten the cap all the way except for when I shake it every now and then that day. I do tighten it when it becomes room temperature. ready in a few hours.

Rocky's favorite Levi denim jacket has got some issues............. I better get with it. I've had it since spring. I'll let you know how the repairs go!
