In 2009 I started Glad Annie’s after I left a job to freelance and needed to make some extra money. I had no idea what to expect but it became more than I had ever imagined and at one time or another over the past 10 years, Glad Annie’s has been on the menu at almost a dozen of Cbus’s favorite restaurants and grocery stores. Because of that I got to meet some of the most amazing bakers, restaurant folks and a whole host of others who make this city better because of what they do, and I am grateful! Also grateful that for some important formative years, my kids got to see their mom as a businessperson and a maker. They loved going to deliver with me when they were little.
Recently I started working full time again and baking and delivering multiple batches of baklava has become too much. Unfortunately I have made the hard decision that March would be my last month delivering to Hills Market Downtown and Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace, and I delivered their last batches this week. You will still be able to find Glad Annie’s at Brown Bag Deli and I will keep this page open if you need baklava for catering. Plus if you know me IRL it’s not like I’m going to stop making it entirely!!
Thanks again for all your support these last 10 years and keep buying local! Columbus has some of the best!!!
