For anyone who doesn’t think chickens have feelings. The Black Cooler Maran in this video was getting ready to lay her first egg. Out Americauna was very concerned and stayed with her the entire time constantly checking to see if she laid her egg yet!

After she laid it, she very politely scooted her out of the way so she could tend to the egg 😂

We’ve been getting lots of new customers which is awesome! For those of you who are new, we do love to take any recycled cartons if you typically toss them out 😊

Anything that keeps us from creating more trash! You can always leave them on the porch or in a bag on the mailbox if you’re just grabbing eggs.

FYI- This is our Americauna. She is the sweetest most nurturing bird we have ever had and likes to kick everyone off the eggs so she can lay on them. She lays beautiful pale blue eggs 🥚 ❤️

We suffered a big loss on Friday. A hawk came and took our sweet Q-Tip.

Unfortunately free ranging comes with a price and Mother Nature doesn’t discriminate. She wasn’t much of an egg layer, but we loved her all the same.

For a small little bird she held a big place in our hearts ❤️
