You can now find fresh, raw milk in our coolers from Rissler Farms in New Enterprise! We are excited to offer Certified A2A2 Raw Milk along with delicious yogurt options.

• Gallon White Milk — $6.50
• Half Gallon White Milk — $3.50
• Half Gallon Chocolate Milk — $4.00
• Yogurt (Vanilla or Black Cherry) — $2.75

What is A2A2 milk?
A2A2 milk comes from cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein in their milk, which some people find easier to digest than regular milk containing both A1 and A2 proteins. It’s fresh, creamy, and straight from the farm!

We’ve got our first cucumbers of the season! 🥒🎉

We also have beautiful fresh flower bouquets made by Sharen! 💐

This week’s harvest includes:
• Salad mix & spring mix
• Head lettuces
• Kale & baby kale
• Swiss chard
• Bok choy & baby bok
• Endive
• Sorrel & collard greens (new crops for us this year — give them a try!)

We’re at the Altoona Farmers Market today until 2 PM, and we’ll be at the first Hollidaysburg Farmers Market of the season next Tuesday, June 2!

Our self-serve on-farm market is open daily from 9 AM–7 PM.

Good morning from Blue Barn Farm 🌞!

🥶 Here we go again….. another potential frost tonight, which means covering crops once again and carrying many transplants back into the greenhouse. It’s a LOT of work to cover and uncover everything, but protecting the plants is part of farming life this spring. 🌱

We held off on planting our peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers, and we’re so glad we did. The deep freeze back in April already caused major damage here on the farm. We lost our strawberries, asparagus, and rhubarb during those very cold nights. 💔🍓

Unfortunately, that means there will NOT be any Pick-Your-Own strawberries this year. We know many of you look forward to strawberry season with your families, and we’re disappointed too.

Farming is always an adventure in patience, hard work, and hoping the weather cooperates. We truly appreciate all of your support through the ups and downs. ❤️

Hello folks! 👋🌱

I need to get better at posting, but truth is… we’re so busy here on the farm that I don’t always get to it! 🚜💚

We’ve been harvesting beautiful lettuce and greens 🥬 and planting all of your summertime favorites — including the BEST sweet corn 🌽☀️

It’ll still be a while before the sweet corn is ready, but in the meantime we have lots of fresh, delicious, nutritious produce waiting for you! 🍅🥒🥗

We just brought in some beautiful hanging baskets and planters, and they are absolutely gorgeous! 🌺🪴 These beauties come from a local wholesale greenhouse and are the perfect way to brighten up your porch, patio, or front door. They also make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift for the special moms in your life! 💐💝

Now when you stop in for your favorite cup of coffee, you can also pick up fresh, locally grown greens for your lunch or dinner 🥬 It’s the perfect way to enjoy delicious coffee while supporting local farms and filling your table with fresh, nutritious food.

Swing by Greenbean Coffee House at 1613 N. Juniata Street, grab a cup of joe ☕ and take home some fresh greens straight from our farm! We have maple syrup, Clover Creek Cheeses and our preserves, pickles, salsas and salad dressings too!
